Super User Tin Posted March 30, 2010 Super User Posted March 30, 2010 with a lot of hills. All this rain is flooding out everything, including the two access roads that go to URI and 3 of the 4 main routes to get there are closed down. Extended Spring Break! Unfortunately those who live on the two main rivers in the state are in trouble, they are already flooded and expected to rise another 4-6'. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 about 2 weeks ago I woke up and drove to work. Over night all the rivers that run into the Mississippi jumped up about 10-15'. They will probably stay like that for awhile. Sucks doesnt it. Although MO isnt a tiny state. Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I've never seen a cement mixer completely submerged before... The building next to UPS has water rapidly approaching the second story. Quote
RedhookRR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Had to look. The county that I live in is over 2X's the size of RI. Hope it dries out for you soon. Quote
Joe Boss Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Be safe man. I heard things are pretty bad over there. Quote
Super User Tin Posted March 31, 2010 Author Super User Posted March 31, 2010 I just spent 20 hours at work getting water out of the warehouse. fun fun This states stupidity amazes me. The three main towns under water (where I live) are pretty much trapped. It took me 48 minutes to drive to CVS which is less than 3 miles away because of all of the blocked off and closed roads. Yet tomorrow the Governor wants everything opened. : Quote
=Matt 5.0= Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 It took me one hour to get to work this morning. It's a two mile commute. Then, we all sat in gridlock in our brown trucks for four hours before we even got to the highway. These pics are from the Warwick Mall, which is a half a mile from my house... Office building next to our UPS hub. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted April 1, 2010 Super User Posted April 1, 2010 Gnarly! They are probably gonna find Tin floating around somewhere on his hemorrhoid donut. ;D Quote

ProCrafter Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 We get ours today....expecting 40-50 MPH winds and 1-3 inches of rain....was supposed to go to Eastern Wa. to fish for 4 days but with a winter storm warning for 1-3ft of snow at Snoqualmie pass and night temps of 20-25 I will not be camping this weekend..... :'( oh just heard...one of the Refineries in Anacortes just blew up killing 3 and injuring 4..... lost lives are bad enough.... and last time this happened in '98 it raised fuel prices 20-30 cents...This Spring is gonna suck!!!
