SmokeRise1 Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 This is not political in nature. It is socioeconomic and should be open for discussion.

phisher_d Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 Didn't you notice that a thread like this just got locked down by Glenn. Nope didn't notice... Don't you think that maybe the kinds of people who read this forum should be made aware of this sooner rather than later? I do. I'm not trying to start anything that would "taint" the forum.. If the mods think this is inappropriate, so be it...
Super User BrianinMD Posted March 9, 2010 Super User Posted March 9, 2010 The prior thread was locked because of posted responses getting political, not the topic of discussion. I think the mods wouldn't mind a discussion on what this means, what to do to voice your opinion and such. But don't want to hear peoples political views of why or who.
Super User J Francho Posted March 9, 2010 Super User Posted March 9, 2010 Don't you think that maybe the kinds of people who read this forum should be made aware of this sooner rather than later? You're too late. The opportunity ended now. This was news in October (see original thread above). Guess what, no one listened. Personally, I don't see how they can enact anything that would affect the recreational angler, but I don't like the lack of distinction between us and commercial fishing.
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 9, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 9, 2010 It's not that we think it's inappropriate. It's because people cannot leave the politics out of it. Sorry folks. We really tried to leave it open, and it got ugly really quick. So I'm closing this one down too. It's only a matter of time for somebody to bring in politics on this topic and start slinging mud. Happens 100% of the time, hence the "no politics" rule.
