NewAngler Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 So I recently just sold something, and used paypal as the payment method. I went to check to see what e-mail account I gave the guy, and it was the wrong one!!! To make matters worse, he sent the money as GIFT. Is there anyway this can be resolved, or am I basically going to be giving away a reel? Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted February 27, 2010 Super User Posted February 27, 2010 He can go in and reverse the charges and send to the correct email address. It's not a problem if he is an honest buyer/seller. Quote
Sfritr Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I am no expert on paypal but the word F.U.B.A.R comes to mind Quote

Kenny418 Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 And you were laughing at me yesterday? Thanks for the chuckle NewAngler Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted February 27, 2010 Super User Posted February 27, 2010 I have several times typed in a incorrect paypal account to send money. It was never a problem to reverse the charge and correct the payment information. Several times enough time elapsed the the seller notified me that they had not received the payment. So, again, it should be no problem. Jack Quote
Sfritr Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Actually, I agree with Jack. If the person is a standup person you should have no issues. Unfortunately, in my experience most people are not. I hope all works out for ya. Good luck. Quote

b.Lee Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 It shouldn't be a big deal as long as he reverses the transaction. If you gave him the incorrect email the transaction shouldnt have gone through. He should know this. Quote
NewAngler Posted February 28, 2010 Author Posted February 28, 2010 Yea, he is standout guy. It never went through. Quote
