GLADES Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Mike, I know how you feel. I had to put down my golden lab/beagle mix last summer. Lucy, at 12 yrs, was diagnosed with cancer and I did everything I could for her until she went blind and lost her strength. It still makes me feel sad. It is a tough deal. Try to remember all the good times. When I do, it makes me feel better. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 20, 2010 Author Super User Posted February 20, 2010 Gentlemen, my heartfelt thanks for your kind words and condolences. Gumbo (that was his name) lived a long happy life and died in his sleep. Who else could ask for more? I miss him greatly and will cherish the memories. Such is life. Quote

uicdent11 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Just like you, I can't stand cats. LOVE dogs and can't imagine losing one. We just got one and she is only 2 years old, but I don't even want to think of the day she passes on. :'( Sending my condolences Mike. Quote
VolFan Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 My heartfelt condolences, we put our lab of 13 years down last May. It may have been said already, but get your grieving in, and then get yourself another. I moped around for months like part of my life was missing and then a new one fell into our lap. Quote
