There was a thread a while back about the best free video editing softwares out there...  I can't seem to find it.

Anyone have the link to that old thread or have a suggestion for a good video editing software that I can download free?

don't know if its what you're looking for but www.dvdvideosoft.com has an AWESOME free software suite. its mostly conversion type stuff, or at least that what i use it for. i also use it to extract audio in mp3 from youtube. there might be some editing stuff in it.
