My grandpa passed away about 2 weeks ago an we were really close. If it wasn't for my grandpa I never would have even gotten into fishing. He was huge into fly fishing an bass fishing so I learned alot from him. So his passing has been really rough.

For those of you on here that believe in prayer, It'd be awesome if you could pray for my family an especially my grandma.

Thanks yall!

Sorry to here that man.  I really respect that you're worried about grandma; that shows good character.  Obviously you had a great relationship with your grandpa and someday when the hurt is a little less all the good memories will make you stronger.  Watch over grandma and give her lots of hugs.

It's never easy losing someone close, but years to come when your teaching someone or sharing knowledge with them that you learned from grandpa you'll be able to look to the sky and give him the thumbs up with a smile.  Prayers to you and your family Rebel A.

Fisherman's Prayer

God grant that I may live to fish

For another shining day,

But when my final cast is made

I then most humbly pray,

When nestled in your landing net

As I lay peacefully asleep,

You'll smile at me and judge

That I'm "good enough to keep."

For Grandpa

Sorry to hear that Rebel Angler. 5 years ago this past Thanksgiving my grandpa passed away that I spent huge portions of my summers with wading rivers and working in our gardens.  Theres not much I wouldn't give to just have some more time tillering the garden with him or trying to catch a mess of fish.

It's tough to lose your grandfather, especially when he is also your fishin' bud.  He will want you to pass the tradition to his grandsons and he has probably found someone up there to trade fishing tales with by now, maybe even my dad.  You and yours are in my prayers.  Don't quit fishing.

Thanks so much guys, I really appreciate it! It means a whole lot.

If there are any lakes or rivers in heaven, I know for sure that's where he's spendin the majority of his time. I'm sure he's made a couple of new fishin buds up there too. An I'll definitely be passin on his love of fishin to my son an tell him all the crazy fishin stories I grew up hearin from my grandpa.

Thanks again guys, yall are awesome

Prayers sent bud.

Love grandma and give her all the support you possibly can.

I happen to be in a situation where i have to be grand-pa  AND  dad, and love every moment i spend with my "STEP"-grandbabies and would not change it for the world!!!

Both my grandpas passed before i could remember much, so i hope these  kids will always remember me for  the fun times we had together, and maybe, just maybe, they might remember me and all the fun stuff we did and learned together just as you have with your.

Rebel Angler, my grandmother taught me to fish 45 years ago, so I feel your loss. My prayers to you and yours.
