Super User burleytog Posted February 10, 2010 Author Super User Posted February 10, 2010 If it wasn't Gordon, it would have been somebody else. Biffle was destined to get run over. He should know better. It happens at that racetrack every time. The slow guys always get punted at the end. None of those drivers have the patience to let a guy hold them up during the last laps. Biffle is experienced enough to know that, so that's why is surprises me he did it anyway. Tires meant absolutely nothing at that point in the race. They had just pitted 25 laps or so before hand. This was Daytona, not Darlington. They all run the same speeds due to the restrictor plates. That was just and out and out punt. You're biased. :'( Quote

Mr. dont know who drives what or for who even though I lost interest too last year. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 10, 2010 Author Super User Posted February 10, 2010 I pretty much stopped paying attention after Talladega. Didn't spend a minute on Jayski after the season and didn't hear about any changes. That said, I'll be watching Sunday at 1. Quote
1inStripes Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Last year was a boar no doubt about it. I didn't pay much attention either. I will watch for a while Sunday as well before heading off to work. I do want to say that NASCAR made a smart move IMO by stabilizing their start times on the schedule although I see they already backed down to TMS and adjusted that start time. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 10, 2010 Author Super User Posted February 10, 2010 The start time change was the only change I had heard during the off-season. It is welcome. 20 years ago I could set my watch by the race. 1PM every Sunday, find MRN on the radio. Quote
1inStripes Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I have a feeling Bristol will be the first trial race for removing the wing and putting the spoiler back on too. Thats one change that is taking place somewhere on the schedule. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 10, 2010 Author Super User Posted February 10, 2010 I heard that. If what I saw on Jimmy's show on HBO, the wing is still going to be there, just attached to the trunk lid rather than up in the air. Quote

I highly doubt the races will start any sooner...it will just be 2 or more hours of blabbering before anything gets started Quote
FL Knifemaker Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Burley enjoy life...... I do, every single day. I try to do the same. Burly, how about starting a 500 thread?? Call me a wussy but I'm looking forward to seeing how Danica does in the Nationwide race. IMHO, she did a great job in her ARCA debut.......going from last to 6th among some very veteran drivers. I love NASCAR but have no, one, favorite driver. I just want to see good racing. Cant wait for sunday. Quote
JohnnyBigger Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 :ois it just me or is everybody excited about them easing up on the rules this season. Beating and banging, pissy drivers, with no fines, oh yeah baby Go Gordon down winy Stewart and crybaby JR and I say that as all nascar drivers are winy except for Elliot and Martin but I just cant stand those 2 Quote

For NASCAR that was a giant leap. Then again........ With that new, giant wicker on top of the car, they should be able to bump draft through the corners as well Quote
