soccplayer07 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 haha. thanks. I'm looking at 33 inches on my deck as we speak...this sucks. Quote
Luke at Gouldsboro Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 the cold weather and snow do put a damper on fishing, but at least it gives us something to get really excited about. Also the down time gives us a lot of time to research, and learn new things. Quote
THEbassmaster Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 i look at the silver lining of it. if it were warm all year round here in minnesnowta. the lakes would be that much more pressured. the fish would be that much more conditioned & the waters overall would be that much more less productive. the hardwater season gives the bass a break. which will pay off when we thaw out & the warm soft waters return. thats my story & i'm stickin to it lol i like that! bassnleo Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I live 50 miles South of Lake Erie. Usually, we get clobbered with lake effect snow. Southern and Eastern PA rarely see large amounts. In the past 2 weeks those places have got clobbered while we have kinda been spared. I kinda feel sorry for the Eastern PA, Maryland, D.C., guys on here. Quote
swilly78 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Winter gives me an opportunity to brush up on my shooting skills. Im already done with ice fishing, its only fun the first half dozen times or so. Quote

Guys, all this "hard water" is why we are fishing for 4 and 5 lbers instead of finding 7 and 8 lbers. I wish we had a longer growing season myself. Quote

I've been out on the water 1-2x a week since it froze, and have had nothing short of phenomenal fishing. Quote
