NewAngler Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Well.... The world is coming to an end, and it is starting right now. The snow has started, and panic has begun. Children are rushed underneath of desks, parents have bought all the bread, milk and eggs in the area. The weatherfolk are calling for UP TO 24"!! HOW WILL WE SURVIVE?!?!?!?!?! This may be my last post, as I may get swallowed by the depths of the snow, and alas, my last words; "BASS RESOURCE KICKS ***!" Goodbye to 26,000 of my closest friends, goodbye.. the world as we know it could be gone... goodbye bass, goodbye sub-premium gear... sigh..... Quote

Wouldn't canned goods and other nonperishables be smarter if you are indeed going to be holed up at home for a while? Does everyone make french toast when it snows down there? Quote

Super User Sam Posted February 5, 2010 Super User Posted February 5, 2010 When there is snow in the forecast for Richmond, we go to the grocery store and then drive into a ditch. ;D ;D ;D Quote
quanjig Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Wife has confirmed case of flu. Very cool considering she got the flu shot!! I had to go to the neighborhood Giant not once but twice yesterday. Still trying to get over the shock of it all. Every checkout 5 deep fully packed cart and 20 deep in the pharmacy line. It was great!! Quote
Bigs Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I had no problem finding eggs and milk but dam if all the hotdog buns were sold out. I mean seriously, what the heck! Snow is coming so lets buy out all the hot dog buns ? I bought the hot dogs anyways , I'll just have to eat them with regular bread. Such is life Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted February 5, 2010 Super User Posted February 5, 2010 Of course we buy up all of the toilet paper. It comes in handy after gorging ourselves on French Toast all weekend. All of the good leaves are under the snow..... 8-) Quote

Needed a single lowly green pepper last night. Went to the store and they were completely sold out? :-? Can't ever remember that being an essential for a blizzard! LOL Quote

Super User 5bass Posted February 6, 2010 Super User Posted February 6, 2010 Yep, I'm right in the middle of it....the pink area you see on the weather map. I took my son to Wal Mart last night before all this started so he could get a webcam for his laptop. While there, I figured I'd get some cereal, milk, bread and some drinks. Cereal was there, 4 gallons of milk left, plenty of drinks but the bread shelves were cleaned out except for one lonely bag of hot dog buns. Only problem is, they looked like they had been dragged under the bread truck and then stomped on by a buffalo. I passed on them as well. Supposed to keep on snowing until tomorrow afternoon sometime. Quote

1inStripes Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 This what bread machines are made for. Make some dough and bake a couple of loaves if you are worried about a storm. Quote
NewAngler Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 I've already shoveled my driveway three times, and the fourth is to come very soon. Basser89- I grabbed some green peppers. No idea why, but i thought it was a good idea. Also bought a huge supply of liquor. I will probably be non functioning most of the weekend. Quote
