American Chopper' -- It's Over!

American Chopper"American Chopper" is ending its run on TLC and the crazy Teutul family will ride their bikes off into the sunset.

This Thursday's episode will be the series finale of the show. A rep for TLC tells us, "The Teutuls will always be a part of the Discovery family and we congratulate them on a tremendously successful series run."

The move is not entirely unexpected -- as we reported in December, Paul Teutul, Sr. is suing his son Paul over the family business, Orange County Choppers.

The last episode airs February 11 at 9:00 PM.

I never was a fan, but didn't mind the fact it was on...until I saw AC cologne in a store.  Can you say sellouts.

Senior openly admitted in an interview several years ago that he would put the OCC name and/or logo on pretty much anything, as long as it made him some money. Since he couldn't predict how long their popularity would last, he was going to make as much money as he possibly could while it lasted.

Good riddance.

Although I am not a fan, I have seen parts of a few episodes. I guess I view it differently. I am pretty sure Pauly owes pretty much everything to Sr. and talk about a lack of respect going both ways. My dad would never talk to me that way, nor would I ever disrespect him. I am surprised it lasted as long as it did, to be honest.

It's kinda funny. They were the joke of the custom motorcycle community, but the "general public" just loved them.

I can totally see that.  I was in Las Vegas a few years back and went to the Bass Pro Shop located in that casino that Morris owns.  The bass chopper was front and center in the lobby.  I thought that thing was hilarious.  ;D

They wont be needing to work another day in their lives after the money they made.

The thing that got me was that everytime Pauley Sr was on, we was saying "if he doesn't stop foolin' around we won't get this bike done on time."  As if they had deadlines.  ;D

I always thought Mikey was the brains of the outfit. With his business sense and intellect, and his father's charisma how could this show fail?

I think that with any family business that is successful, there comes a time when the adults all want a piece of the pie and feel as though they are each individually responsible for it's success.  There are multiple adults in this case......too many chiefs and not enough indians.  Paul Sr. knew the day would come when the show would end and the money would slow down.  He was trying to get it while the getting was good.  Paul Jr. knew the same thing.  I think he seen the end coming so he has ventured off the payroll at OCC and into his own custom design business.  He was trying to make the next move with the cash he had made and make it work into something else.  Then there was Mikey.  Just got out of rehab and is full of personal issues with his family.  Fame went to his head and he had no clear path for what he was going to do when this all ended. 

From what I have read the lawsuit between Sr. and Jr. is over stock options.  Sr. has stated that in Jr.'s contract he was supposed to sell all his stock with OCC back to him in the event he left the company.  Who know's???  When the company goes belly up that stock will not be worth the paper it is printed on.  Also, Sr. seems to have issues with all his kids, not just the ones on TV.
