My good friend, Steve Hallock, is the USA President of MB&F watches. Very interesting story about how they design their horological machines. Here he explains in video what the watches are all about.

These watches retail between $80k - almost $200k. I'm especially a fan of the HM2.

That 's the kind of stuff that would get my father 's clock ticking.

What can I say ? he was a well dressed man, me ? man, I 'm a redneck !  :)

Reason why after my daddyo passed away I sold all his Omegas, Rolexes, Audemars Pigets and Girard Perragauxes, I wasn 't going to wear them anyway.

Heck, I don 't even wear a watch.  ::)

Nice crotch shot videos.  Watches are ugly, but I don't wear a watch.  They are really interestingly constructed.  I'd expect a little more than a camera phone video, though, LOL.

Hey, different strokes for different folks.  The watches are interesting, to say the least.

It's all relative too guys.  Some people collect fishing tackle, lures, cars, I know many people that collect watches.

As far as the 'ego thing' goes, you'd be surprised.  Most of my friends that are into high end time pieces, don't show them off.  If you are a fellow watch guy, you just get it.

It really is no different that rods and reels.  They just have a few more zeros at the end.   ;)

Honestly, I'd like them better as a clock.  Too clunky looking on the wrist, but on your desk in the den...

8-)

Butt fugly.

x2. I'm sure they're well made but I'd rather wear my father's Timex. Or a Casio.

Yep, he had nice pieces, the Clothesn 'accesories Monkey was strong in him, by the time he died he had 45 3 piece taylor made suits, a good hundred of Countess Mara silk ties, dozens of french cotton taylor made shirts, dozens of those English shoes ( Trickers and Saxons ) silk raincoats, cashmere socks, cashmere and vicuña sweathers, coats.

Too bad he was bigger than I, all that nice stuff ended up given away. Me ? I 'm happy with denim trousers and short sleeved shirts.  Like I said, I 'm a redneck !  ;)

Definitely not something I'd ever wear, or spend that kind of money on BUT it would look pretty sweet as a normal clock or something. Which it pretty much is they just put straps on it for some reason. hahahah

Raul, your dad wore sweaters in Mexico? :-?

Yeah, we lived in Mexico City and the climate is a lot colder than León because of the height above sea level, León is warm and we do use sweaters in late December and January.

I've been to Mexico many , many times and not just to resort areas, the affluent Mexicans dress to the 9's with top of the line accessories, while shorts and t shirts were the dress of the day for the Americans.

I always dressed well with jewelry to match, Rado, Rolex, Lucien Picard and others, my favorite today is a 25.00 Timex with an 8 year battery, when the battery died I just bought a new one.

They are interesting timepieces, I especially like the one with the days of the week in words on a rolling scroll.

The technology behind Urwerk is pretty amazing.  Here is a break down of the 202.
