Super User Alpster Posted July 22, 2008 Super User Posted July 22, 2008 A sad day for the "MOJO BRACELET"............... To the family of "MOJO BRACELET" c/o Bassresource.com We regret to inform you that after surviving numerous dangerous skirmishes in the battlefields of the Middle East, and performing with great valor in each, it has come to our attention that during a well deserved furlough while in transit that "MOJO BRACELET" has been officially declared "Missing In Action" by the United States Postal Service. Since this incident appears to be the result of extreme negligence on the part of the U.S.P.S. the details will remain "Classified". No remains have been found, only a note signed by the last few friends who had the pleasure of "MOJO'S" company. I regretfully never had the honor of seeing the MOJO personally, however I feel a closeness based on reputation alone. After suffering the disappointment of being next in line to receive MOJO and dealing with the sad reality that he was lost so carelessly by those we trusted on the journey, I have taken the liberty of constructing a memorial and a "Rookie Replacement" for "MOJO BRACELET". It shall continue on MOJO's journey and seek to complete the peaceful mission began by it's honorable predecessor. GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. GOODBYE FRIEND! Ronnie (Alpster) :'( God Bless, Ronnie
frogtog Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Sorry to here that Ronnie, I was looking forward to using it. I am also glad you have another to continue the quest. Thanks Ronnie
hjerk24 Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 How does one aquire the Mojo...? Â Send it this way... Thanks- Jamie
Brian_Reeves Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Hey Ronnie, it happens. That bracelet was just a thing. I don't get very sentimental and attached over things because I know that sh...stuff happens. What counts the most is the spirit of the event. This whole deal was created by LBH this year to honor soldiers worldwide, not just me. The irony in this is about 25% of my care packages that my family sent to me were lost in the mail. I had also sent my dad a keychain that I had attached to my armor during my first tour. The envelope was sealed, but the keychain was missing. Strange things happen with the post office. Maybe we should have used courier pigeons or something. The replacement will definitely suffice and tells the story well. I personally would like to thank you for your creativity in the replacement. In a way, that will end up meaning more than the original MOJO because it will show an ongoing history and tell a unique story. I don't think I have anything like that. I'm not sure that many people do. I guess that bracelet was like General Patton. Destined to never be killed in battle, only to die in transit stateside. Long live the MOJO! :'( Maybe Kevin Van Dam sucked the rest of its luck and life out of it with that win at Kentucky lake  Few things could survive that encounter lol

Your attitude and service are a role model for all of us. The "MOJO" just reminds us that nothing in life is certain and sometimes we just have to pick up the pieces, do the best we can and trust God for the rest. Thanks for being someone the rest of us can look up to. Keep on keeping on! Long live the "MOJO"! Ronnie
Low_Budget_Hooker Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 .......and the story continues.... Brian, thanks for understanding, we had been quite torn over this. Â Ronnie called me, very distraught over this, but I think he came up with the perfect replacement. Way to save the day Ronnie. So off it goes,..where it stops,...nobody knows,.....MOJO madness!!!
JShrock07 Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Dang, That sucks. USPS never cares about any packages! >
rondef Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 That is really is terrible but I can see how it happens. Â Unfortunately you can't trust the USPS these days. Â The USPS mail delivery at our house has been a joke for the last couple of years. Â We always get other peoples mail in our mailbox and we have even found our mail out in the street in front of other homes. I would love to be included in the replacement mojo effort.
Brian_Reeves Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 Ronnie and Russ, I could see how y'all would be kinda torn about it. Â I actually had to read Ronnie's post twice and give it a little thought before I posted. Â I wouldn't say that I'm anything worth looking up to or whatever for shrugging off a loss. Â Yeah, that bracelet meant something to me, but it was also a relic from a chapter in my life that is quickly closing. Â In fact, it will be completely closed on the 15th of next month. Â This is actually an interesting evolution in this year's event. Â This new MOJO does something that the old one never could. Â It tells its own story. Â That is a strange thing for an object to be able to do. Â Unique, and probably more special than the first. Â I do not see this as a loss, but rather as a very interesting development. Â Now, not only does the MOJO show one soldier's determination and love for family, but it shows a bond between, lets face it, complete strangers across a country. Â The key piece of the event was lost, but replaced by a very creative substitute and the event to honor soldiers worldwide continues. Â That says something, man. Â Now if it gets lost again, we all need to storm our local post offices. Â 15,000 of them ;D I can't wait to see where it ends up next. Â Thanks to all who have participated so far. Â And a special thanks to Ronnie for your creativity and drive to keep this deal going for the rest of the season. Â LBH, I would thank you for coming up with this whole idea, but the event isn't over yet, so you gotta wait for your official shout out. ;D
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted July 22, 2008 Super User Posted July 22, 2008 Knowing Ronnie, even just a little, and you will know why he was pretty bummed out about the bracelet being mishandled. Great job on finding a replacement though Ronnie. Top notch as always!!!! Wayne

Wayne if anyone could find a more-than-suitable replacement it would be ronnie, no doubt about that. way to step up, bud. and brian... Super User islandbass Posted July 22, 2008 Super User Posted July 22, 2008 I do not know how I ever missed this. If the replacement bracelet might need to see some action in the Pacific Northwest, I'm just a PM away. Hats off to you Brian! And everyone else too.
BossierBassHunter Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I'm in Northwest Louisiana, and would LOVE to get a chance to put some MOJO to work. I have a stocked pond to fish from, so it wouldn't take long, lol/
Pascagoula River Bassin Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 If it needs any South Mississippi muddy river mojo, send it this way!
