Pantera61 Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Just to clarify - run the report only when you're experiencing site slowness. Thanks!! I'm running Safari, will that program run on mac? Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 28, 2010 Super User Posted January 28, 2010 Only BR is running poor on my computer, at times it's fine but mostly in the afternoon it's terrible. I have tried IE, chrome and firefox the problem is the same. I'm not an expert but I do know my equipment is working properly, it can only be a site or host problem. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 28, 2010 Super User Posted January 28, 2010 it can only be a site or host problem Or ISP. Quote
George Welcome Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Watch the load and you will see the problem. The site is having difficulty loading Google ads and it has been for a few weeks now. If you double click the site it will come up faster. Quote

Boogey Man Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Ok folks, help me figure out what's going on. Please do the following: 1. Go to http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip 2. Choose to Open the file when prompted. (The Zip utility on your computer should open the zip file and show the contents.) 3. Extract the file contents to a folder on your computer. To perform a traceroute using WinMTR: 1. Locate the file where you extracted the zip file. 2. Click the "WinMTR.exe" file. (The WinMTR window opens.) 3. Enter bassresource.com in the Host field. 4. Click "Start". WinMTR begins sending packets to the IP address. 5. When the "Sent" number reaches 50 click "Stop". 6. Finally, copy from the clipboard and send a paste of this report to me via PM. Thanks!! I got to step 5 but no files were sent. Not sure if that's good or bad... Quote

That means it's a bad router somewhere. Send it to me, because that will help my host provider determine which router is causing the problem. Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted January 28, 2010 Super User Posted January 28, 2010 I feel like I've been switched back to dialup. It's only this site. So slow I Can hardly stand it. Took me 7 minutes to contact 4 buyers and give them their tracking numbers a few minutes ago. Quote

zerofivenismo Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Slowness on site sure does make for an unproductive day at work ;D Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 28, 2010 Super User Posted January 28, 2010 I have experienced the slow loading too, when I connect through internet explorer. A few weeks ago, someone suggested downloading the Opera browswer. I tried it, and it does load faster than IE. I was using IE today, and it was painfully slow. Shut IE, opened Opera, and the site is loading fine. There are times when IE does a better job than opera, particularly when MSN.com is on. Click on sports, and it may not open. But in most cases, it is better. The free download is what I have, and it works fine for browsing. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 28, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 28, 2010 I wish it were something as simple as a browser issue, as those are far more easier to diagnose and repair. Unfortunately, brower issues were ruled out long ago. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted January 29, 2010 Super User Posted January 29, 2010 this all started about the same time my avast! caught trojans trying to come through on google if that helps. Quote
KYbass1276 Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I must be the exception because it's working fine for me on my home computer and my phone. There have been no problems for me at anytime. Quote
