Had a similiar one from 10 years ago that broke on me this year.  Glad it did.  Replaced it with this one. http://www.nbswebstore.com/cgi-bin/web_store/web_store.cgi?view=products&cart_id=4124450_3048&product=TackleBoxesBags&manufact=TACKLE%20LOGIC%20WORM%20FILE%20-%20HARD

Smaller, lighter, and seems to hold more than my last one!

I have several. I'll fill my main one up with stuff I think I'll use on an outing, another has "maintenence stuff" and another has extra baits. The last 2 usually stay in the car.

Not for fishing, but my gun cleaning stuff is in one and my archery stuff is in another.  If I had that tacklebox in my boat I know it ewould end up upside down and dumped out

Probably the age of your Grandpa :)! Still you use a 3 tray. It gets harder and harder to keep the tackle down to a minimum. It REALLY upsets Ol' Banana ;)...

Had several when I was younger and I liked that everything in the box was pretty much right there in front of you... but when they turn over, and they will, it's ugly!

I have 3, but they never leave the house (garage actually).  I use them to store lure building stuff, old lures etc.

Ok, here we go .... again  ::), reality check:

Who gets upset and why you think it gets upset, it 's ole banana breath ! he don 't get upset with nuthin ', it don 't matter how many baits it can hold, you spent in baits and in the box ----> mission accomplished !

Now you get touchy with what you purchase and carry ? my foot patrol box consists in a 3600 Plano, packed full with Rapalas, LCs and Megabass lures, add some of those really kool looking japanese soft plastics and -----> mission accomplished again!

So you really truely believe he get upset ? ..... nah, I don 't think so !

I have a bunch of these boxes, however I do not use them for bass fishing I have 1 for catfish hooks and stuff, another for my archery equipment, one for my muzzleloader stuff and another for all my deer lures/scents. So when they were done with the fishing stuff I converted them into hunting boxes haha

Come on now...the hot boxes 20 years ago were the Magnums!  You had to have you an amber colored magnum...and then when the Magnum Over and Under came out; that was THE box!

Yes Dave, I had one a long, long time ago.

Don't know what happened to it.  Probably sold it at a yard sale or threw it away.

New systems out do not use the three tray system but if it works then use it.

What about that monster of a tackle box you purchased?  Have you filled it up yet???   ;)

Hey Missouri,

I also have a Magnum by Plano tackle box.

It still has the rid sticker that says "NEW -Another Innovative Product from Plano" and it is in excellent conditon.

I thought I was the only one who had one of these.

What do you think it is worth today?????

Same here.  I keep all of my miscellaneous hunting stuff in one of those.  Cleaning supplies, Hex sets, practice points...

I don't know that they are actually worth anything to anybody that didn't use them way back when, lol. I figured there were still a few out there somewhere. I just had to have that box when a friend bought one, and I still use it. I've been using it for my senko-type baits but I am looking for a new way to store those....

I have one of those exact same boxes. It was too bulky on shore so I now use a backpack. The only bad thing about the backpack is I accidentally spilled gulp juice in it so when you open it up you get a pleasent smell with your bait.
