Super User Catt Posted January 19, 2010 Super User Posted January 19, 2010 The Vikings pass defense is ranked 19th in the NFL and that is their weakness The Saints pass offense is ranked 7th in the NFL; Drew Brees has the #1 QB rating of 109.6 and the Saints is the #1 offense in the NFL. The Vikings rushing offense is ranked 13th in the NFL and while the Saints rush defense is ranked 21st in yards allowed they have only given up 21 TDs in 17 games to the run. Quote

And they say defense wins championships. I've gotta agree with Tin Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 19, 2010 Super User Posted January 19, 2010 Where y'all find those stats? Lot fifferent than NFL or Saints web sites The Saints defense will retire Favre just like Warner These are the ones the Viking's defense can't handle Total Offensive Yards: 1st Avg Yards per Offensive Play: 1st Total Rushing Yards: 6th Avg Yards per Rushing Play: 5th Total Passing Yards: 4th Avg Yards per Passing Play: 2nd Rushing Touchdowns: 3rd Passing Touchdowns: 1st Total Touchdowns: 1st Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I'm kind of torn with Favre being the old guy and all. Then again he wa a Packer which is tough. The Saints and the lack of Superbowl plus the hurricane deal. Then again it doesn't appear that the Vikings have ever won a superbowl either? I always liked Fran Tarkenton. Alan Page was a former Viking who was a Chicago Bear for a while so I'd like to see one for him as well. Quote

All them stats the Saints racked up wasn't against the Vikings defense so will see Quote
Fishing Doug Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 The Vikings do not have enough good secondary players to cover all of the options that Brees has. Then factor in Sean Payton well be able to dial up that running game with Reggie Bush showing why the Saints drafted him No. 1. The Saints seem to have all their weapons back on offense and Drew Brees knows how to distribute the ball. #2 overall. Mario Williams went #1 to the Texans that year. Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Being a cowboy fan, I am compelled to root for the saints. I am not, however, angry or upset about the last touchdown Minn. racked on the cowboys. I am of the opinion if you don't like, shut up and do something about it. I am rooting for saints vs. colts in super bowl and don't really care who wins. I would like to see Drew Brees get a ring because he is a class individual. Really feels he is supposed to be there helping re-build that community. I also think, when it is all said and done, the vast majority of people will say that Peyton Manning is the best QB to ever play. He has one ring and needs at least one more for that to happen though. ( I am partial to Joe Montana myself) ;D Quote
Little Luey Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Favre is not the team, last I checked it was the Vikings vs. the Saints. I am a Chicago guy so no way I can root for the division rivals Vikings. I like to see the Saints and the Colts in the Super Bowl. They were the two best teams in each division so I think they deserve to get there. Quote

It says the Saints drafted him #1 which means he was their #1 draft pick! Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted January 19, 2010 Super User Posted January 19, 2010 I rooted for Favre on my Packers for years, I even rooted for him on the Jets, in no way am I going to root for him while he's still wearing purple. Go Saints...Brees deserves a ring! Come on man, don't be a hater. ;D Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted January 19, 2010 Super User Posted January 19, 2010 Lifelong Vikings fan (that lives deep in the heart of Eagles country) It should be a great game. I have tons of respect for the Saints, they didn't get where they're at by suckin'. Neither did the Vikes. It's no fluke they're in it, I wish those blowhard "experts" that had Dallas cakewalking would get it. Then again most of the people that cover the NFL have an infatuation with Dallas, so it's no suprise. Quote
detroit1 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 I enjoyed last weeks games, especially the vikes' last score. How 'bout them cowboys? If it were a college game, then yes it was bush. But these are paid men , and you play a minimum of 60 minutes. kwitcherbellyakin booking. I just hope the championship games are good. I don't care who wins..it's not the lions.......later Quote
Super User South FLA Posted January 20, 2010 Super User Posted January 20, 2010 Go Brett, put all the naysayers to shame and win it ALL, by beating the JETS in the SUPERBOWL, how ironic! Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted January 20, 2010 Super User Posted January 20, 2010 The vikings have always been a dirty team. I hope the Saints shove their jocks down the vik's throats. Quote
