Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 12, 2009 Super User Posted June 12, 2009 Dice-K needs to be traded for a DH like Victor Martinez and Indians prospects and Bucholtz needs to come up. He gives the Sox a much better chance of winning than Dice-K does. I really think Papi is actually 43 instead of 33. Is Dice-K injured and simply keeping it under wraps to avoid the DL again? What is Sox nation saying?

Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 12, 2009 Super User Posted June 12, 2009 I'll never forgive Jim Hendry for trading Mark DeRosa. > If he ends up in cardinal red, well, that'll just be weird. There was a lot of talk that the Crew was going to make a trade for him after Weeks went down. There is this nice older lady I work with. Big cubs fan. The only time I have ever heard her mutter a foul word is after they traded DeRosa. No kidding.
Super User burleytog Posted June 12, 2009 Author Super User Posted June 12, 2009 Hendry was due for a bad offseason I guess. He had been golden for years, but last winter was horrible. Trade DeRosa for nothing, sign Aaron "I'msoversatileIcanonlyplay2B" Miles and then sign Milton "IgotbanksoIain'tgonnaplayhard" Bradley. DeRosa would have helped a great deal with Ramirez being out. He could play almost every position and was the perfect utility man. That said, Angel Blanco has been playing very well of late, hopefully Lou and Jim realize he's a better option at second than Miles.
CJ Posted June 13, 2009 Posted June 13, 2009 Milton Bradley is a freakin' genius!!! He catches the ball in a showboat fashion, poses for the fans a few seconds, then throws the ball in the stands.......and its just 2 outs!!!
Super User CWB Posted June 15, 2009 Super User Posted June 15, 2009 No question Bradley is a moron but last I looked the team he plays for is just 2 games behind the Cards and I think LaRussa has enough of his own problems to figure out the way they've been playing lately. Was a sin letting DeRosa go.
Super User burleytog Posted June 15, 2009 Author Super User Posted June 15, 2009 While I think Hendry was nuts for trading a producer like DeRosa, I do understand his reasoning behind letting him go. We needed another left-handed bat in the lineup.
Super User CWB Posted June 15, 2009 Super User Posted June 15, 2009 If you are referring to Bradley, what's he up to now? .240?
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 16, 2009 Super User Posted June 16, 2009 I still don't understand why Sorryano is 4th in All-Star balloting?
Daniel A. Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 I still don't understand why Sorryano is 4th in All-Star balloting? I'd rather see that than Manny make the All-Star team. He's suspended for taking PEDs. Why are people voting for him???
Uncle Leo Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Anyone catch the final score of the Sox-Cub game last night?

I wonder where all the Cubbie loyals are at? I want my turn. Anyone catch the final score of yesterday's Cubs Sox game? Harrelson needs to die. First he blames the ump, then the field, which was re-built by the Sox groundskeepr if I recall, and then he must have mentioned "4 unearned runs" at least 50 times. What a whiney old hack. Thank god for Stone. I watched the replay last night with my son, who has never heard Harrelson before, and he asked me how the guy keeps his job? Every Cubs hit was a Duck Snort. Hey Hawk- An un-earned run is still a run you moron. Anyone that says "you can put it on the board, Hell yeah" on T.V. should be eliminated. Wow. I really feel better now. ;D ;D

Super User CWB Posted June 19, 2009 Super User Posted June 19, 2009 No, some of us actually have to work. ;D Not an Ozzie hater. Can't wait to hear what he'll say next. Definitely a Harrelson hater. Even the Sox fans I work with can't stand that pompous idiot. Did I mention I hate him?
Super User burleytog Posted June 19, 2009 Author Super User Posted June 19, 2009 Man I'm glad I got to listen to Ron & Pat during yesterday's game. Harrelson may be the worst commentator in baseball history. When WGN started carrying Sox games in the early 90s, I would watch just for the hell of it. After a season of having to listen to that POS, I gave up on the White Sox.
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted June 21, 2009 Super User Posted June 21, 2009 The Crew have been getting embarrassed by the Tigers, and the chubbies have been squeaking out some lucky ones....even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

More than that there's something brewing. Pardon my horrible pun.

Cubs didn't do much better though. :-[ GP- I think you mean the Cubs have been notching some big come from behind wins.

I expect the Crew to make a trade in the next week or two. Bush's next start has been scratched and Parra is down in Nashville. Also, Weeks' season-ending injury is KILLING the team.
