Hmmm....wonder who will get player of the month in the NL?  ::)

8 HR  28 RBI in 24 games played.

Franklin would have got number 8 tonight but the Cards blew it open in the ninth.

Thanks to the Nationals...ya'll suck!

You shouldn't drink so much CJ, it's not healthy.  ;D

;D CJ, you're killin' me.

So, I'm a Cardinal fan first but I've followed the Royals since the late 70s too. How about Greinke . . . 5 wins 0 losses with a 0.50 ERA, two complete games, and 44 strikeouts. I always thought the kid could be good but if this continues the American League Cy Young Award is his to lose.

If Yost did one good thing last season, it was riding CC as hard as he did. Can you say Carl Pavano v2.0? ;D

Heck yea. We gave up a STUD in LaPorta for CC. Man, I'd love to see LaPorta, Braun, and Prince in the same lineup...

On a side note, during my fantasy draft I didn't realize Dan Haren was still available and I took Josh Beckett. Haren went the next pick. This still haunts me. Last night we had great seats for the game at Miller Park, and I watched Haren destroy the Crew. My biggest gripe about fantasy sports is cheering for a player/team I can't stand, simply because they're on my squad. Two of my starting pitchers are from Boston and I frickin' hate it.

That's the reason I gave it up.  It was fun, but it got to the point where the only thing I cared about was how my fantasy players were doing.

Last night Greinke pitched another complete game and shutout the White Sox. He is now 6 and 0, with a 0.40 ERA, 54 strikeouts, three complete games pitched, and he has the only two complete game shutouts this year in the American League. That's a heck of a start to the season. I don't know how he can keep this up.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Alfonso Soriano is a freaking IDIOT.  Lou should have benched him for that crap he pulled in the outfield Sunday.

I'm without WGN.  What happened?

Kevin Gregg needs to be drawn and quartered.  If Lou and Hendry don't move him soon, we're screwed.

Sorry, been in the Northwoods.  He pulled one of his famous, nonchalant strolls to a ball hit his way.  It looked as if he was shagging balls in practice.  This one was really bad...and that's saying something.

Here's The Miz ripping on the chubbies and soriano at a WWE event: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFRwZiPzexA

-Weeks is out for the year.  That's a tough one to swallow.  He looked like he had finally turned the corner.  He was putting up All Star numbers for a second basemen.  Uuggghh!

-CJ, looks like I'll be the winner of two cranks sooner than later.  ;D

Cards got some pitchen back, last four starter pitchers have done great. Wellemeyer did much better tonight, last Sunday he sucked bad, he was behind everyone. Motte came out at top of 7th with two on and one out, he was on fire like last year, he threw 96, 97 and 98's fast balls. Wish they would've played like that against the Phillies and Brewers.

Anyone see Pujols yesterday bottom of the 1st? He knocked out the "I" in big mac land 8-)

Well, the cards finally took a series from the Crew.  There might be hope for you yet CJ...I still think I'll have two cranks coming this way come October.  ;)

How about a DT Flat and a...well, I got a few months to figure it out.  ;D

Interesting moves by Hendry yesterday.  Sending Scales and Cotts to Iowa and sending Miles to the DL.  He then calls up a 1B, an IF, and a pitcher.

Would love to know why we need three first basemen on the team and six outfielders.

IMO, it's time to start thinking about sending Derek Lee elsewhere and giving Hoffpauir and Fox a look at first base.

Cubs have a lot of holes.  Hendry should have never shipped DeRosa to Cleveland.  He would have filled a big hole at third with Ramirez on the DL.  And Kerry would have been a lot better than Gregg.

Yup. Looks like the Crew are the only rivals we got this year. What's the score G_Phishin? 4-2?

Anyway, we get Ludwick back this weekend, Carpenter hasn't lost his touch and the bullpen is holding up so far! Cards are gonna be hard to hold.

Zambrano should be caged, seriously...maybe with Sloth's chains from The Goonies.

Yup CJ, 4-2 the Crew.

I guess it's time to start taking bets to see if by chance the chubbies see the post-season, what team will sweep them this year. ;D

Aren't there any teams in Wisconsin to talk about?

O wait, the Brewed, I mean Brewers are from Wisconsin. If I recall they were worthless until they got Fatboy and the "Chubbies" swept them to start their playoff drive. Both did make early playoff exits though. We'll see who's there at the end of September.  ;D ;D

Worthless? Let's talk about the team from the northside. The team who is a perennial favorite to win the division, and make a deep run in the playoffs every year...but then they end up by stepping on their d****.

At least Milwaukee won a playoff game last year; against the champs mind you. It's been a few playoff series since the chubbies have chalked up a W. ;D

I'm actually hoping the cubs mortgage what's left of the farm for Peavy, and the whole thing blows up. Why not throw another three year, bazillion dollar contract onto the heap with the rest.

Big fan of the avatar btw.
