Here's an interesting article about Torre ripping into Cashman and A-Knob: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/9130146?MSNHPHCP&GT1=39002

SI.com does an interview with Tom Verducci, who co-authored the book, about how the book was conveyed by the New York Post... and apparently other sources, based on the Fox Sports article linked above. According to Verducci, "Joe Torre does not rip anybody in the book".

For what it's worth:

Sorry Wrong Answer :o

My apologies, I haven't read the book, was just going by what the co-author said. Curious, was it a good read?

If Griffey ever tests positive, I'll cry worse than Burley at his HS prom.

O come on...he was the pimp with all the ladies and spiking the fruit punch.....

Why don't you clean up this thread and get rid of useless posts like you do in every other thread... :-? ;D

I kinda like the alternate uniforms. Aside from that, the Sox need to do a little more than sign Penny to compete in the AL East. On paper, the Yanks are the team to beat...as much as I hate admitting that.

No other team has done as much to immediately improve than the Yanks. As I've said before, if they can't buy a championship this year, they should play in the Minors.

The Yankees payroll is gross! Didn't the D Rays teach these knuckle heads anything last year? Go Sox!!!

All the money in China wouldn't help the Yankees.

Are you sure?  They bought plenty of roids over the past couple of decades...   :o

Nope, it's at #3 on my list, just behind sex and hunting/fishing and just ahead of eating and sleeping.

Too bad your skill level in those categories is in reverse order.  ;)

I will continue to watch baseball. People cheat in every sport. Every sport is ran by money.

Anyone read Torre's book yet?

Give it another month so it has time to show up on the $1.99 rack.   ;)

Bought my ticket for the TN Smokies home opener yesterday.  Ryne Sandberg's first game as the Smokies manager.  First row behind the Smokies dugout.

Perhaps I can finally get some use out of the MLB ball I bought in Atlanta 7 years ago and never got signed.  Hope Ryno doesn't mind signing stuff as I've got a ton of stuff I want to get signed this summer.  HOF program, cards, etc.

Wonderful news for Sox fans....

A-Rod is out until May with a ovarian  hip cyst.

I saw that on Sportscenter last night. He really lives in a fantasy land. Boston put up with his childishness, fake injuries, and pouting. The fans loved Manny. He was treated far better than he deserved. I wonder how long he'll be content with the Dodgers. As long as Torre continues to let him walk all over him and the rest of the team, he'll love it.

Is anyone in a fantasy baseball league?  This will be my first season.  We are holding our draft this sunday, any tips, pointers, things to watch for, etc?

Has anyone already drafted a roster this year?  How did it go?
