G_P, I just clicked on this thread. The original bet was a Rapala. Send me a PM with your address and which lure and we'll get settled up.

The Winter Meetings start tomorrow in Indy. I know a couple of guys from Milwaukee that are going, and they plan on tailgating every day in the parking lot.

I'm excited to see if Melvin can get the Crew two arms by weeks end. Perhaps first go after a guy like Pavano, and then work his butt off to sign Wolf.  Lackey is out of the question, as he is rumored to be looking for a deal bigger and longer than Burnett's. That would be 17mil+ for at least six years.

Give me a break. He's not worth half of that. ::)

The Cards are close to signing Brad Penny for 1 year-6 million base with incentives up to 9 mil. I'm not to excited about this one.

So the Crew picked up Wolf and Hawkins to bolster their rotation and pen. One more starter is a must, maybe the Hart for Maine rumor will come to light.

I would have liked to see them take a shot at Bedard. I still believe Mulder will be in Milwaukee's farm system by spring.

My guess is Lackey resigns with the Halos

Lackey to the Sox and Halliday to the Phills!

This should get the Sox another 10-12 wins a year... 8-)

I can't believe that contract....Lackey is not an ace...not for that kind of dough.  It's about 2.5 million worse than Burnett's

Sounds like the M's get a year of Cliff Lee for a few guys from their stocked farm.

I haven't checked this thread in awhile, so I'm a little behind... I think the Penny deal is good.  Only for one year, so no long-term money tied up.  And Duncan has proven he can bring guys back into form, and if that happens Penny will be a heck of a 4th starter.

Oh, and the Cards signed that guy Holliday... not a bad 3-4-5 with Pujols, Holliday and Ludwick.
