Hey GP-

One of my vendors just told me he get ticket to Miller Park maybe 10 times a year. Right behind 3rd about 10 rows up. He says they are usually night games and offered me 2 but I can't get up there and get back and still be in bed by 9:00. And obviously they won't be for when the Cubs visit as they help sell out wherever they play.

P.M. me if your interested. Hate to see them go to waste or to some non-fan if you know what I mean.

Is anyone else tired of interleague play? It was cool when it first happened, but now its played out. If your gonna go it every year, just play 2 games against every team in the other league. This would require dropping two teams in MLB. I would say drop two franchises who never compete for WS like the Nationals, Pirates, Brewers, Cubs, Royals or Rangers.

What's going on in the N.L. Central? Nobody seems to want it. P.U.

Hey Uncle Leo, what was the score for the Cubs game yesterday?  I can't seem to find it.

While I think Hendry was nuts for trading a producer like DeRosa, I do understand his reasoning behind letting him go. We needed another left-handed bat in the lineup.

You'll get to see him soon enough.

Bad feeling about that coming back to haunt us.

G.P.- You and your family have a great time at the Game tomorrow. Go Mets!!! ;D ;D

Thanks.  I'm really excited.  I haven't seen a game with my old man since last season.

The Mets are dinged up big time, even with our terrible SPing we may have a shot.

There are a lot of very good players in the game today, but after tonight Albert Pujols is 6 for 7 with the bases loaded this season, with 4 HR's and 20 RBI's. And he broke Stan Musial's club records for most grand slams in a season and a career.

You can hate the Cardinals or hate LaRussa, whatever... but what Pujols is doing is something many baseball fans will look back on in amazement that we were able to witness in person. The guy is just freakin' unbelievable.

Amen srv1990.  He really is something special.  He's been a granny monster as of late.  RBI's are a dime-a-dozen.

He's a class act too. I read the story about how his wife/gf didn't mention, at first, her son had down syndrome.  When Albert found out, he was all about helping her and her son.

Pujols is a faker.

::)

No, he didn't fake that grand slam last night. It really happened!

Tony said it a few years ago,"Albert is a better person than he is a ball player". That's saying a whole lot! He is the total package and the greatest player in the game right now and he would be even if he was a Cub.

I just got back from St. Louis yesterday. I took my boys to the game Wednesday night! I got to see a great pitching match up with Mark Cain and Adam Wainwright from the 6th row right behind the camera pit on the visitors side. It was a great game. The rookie Colby Rasmus wins it in the 10th with a walk off HR! The Cards are still up and down with their offense. Albert has been carrying them mostly. Tony has got to get his head out of his butt and send Duncan to the minors. This guy totally sucks and I don't think he is good enough for AAA ball. I'm not seeing any adjustments being made with any of the struggling hitters. Ankiel has been swinging through off speed pitches all year and Duncan has been swinging through everything. The NL central is an open door for whatever team wants to get it together right now.

Take that Harden!

Harden was a knee-jerk reaction to the Crew getting fatass last year.  He is a bullpen killer.  Does good to go 6, either really good or really bad.

The Cubs need an enema.

Hey CJ, I was at that game, too... It was CYC night at the park, all the youth players and their coaches get to walk ("parade") around the field before game time. Got to walk around with my son and daughter (see pics below). As for the game, the ending was awesome, but too many missed chances by a struggling offense, Wainwright deserved the victory.

My daughter and son (along with a couple of their friends) in front of the Cardinals dugout:
