Super User fishfordollars Posted January 11, 2010 Super User Posted January 11, 2010 It was 23* here again this morning. That's five days with a low in the mid to upper teens and low 20s for us since last Thursday. Very unusual for us. I am ready for some 50s and 60s. One more morning coming up with freezing weather and then we should warm up. I feel for all of you that have to deal with this for months on end. I have chunks of ice from my water buckets that have been laying in my backyard for four days. Ya'll can have it. Quote
RobbyZ5001 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I will trade you my 8's and 10's for your 23. Quote

Super User firefightn15 Posted January 11, 2010 Super User Posted January 11, 2010 Up here in Wisconsin we are slated for a heat wave this week. Starting off in the high 20's and then moving on to the 30's. I'll take it. BTW, my avatar pic is from a structure fire about 2 winters ago. That pic was taken early on, but within just a few minutes, me and the guy behind were solid ice. Couldn't bend our elbows or knees. Quote
SuskyDude Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 You guys are making me chuckle. "Lock-down" for 20 and 30 degree temperatures. Quote
llPa1nll Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I cant help it, 5 or 10 days of being stuck in the house. The whole northern half of this country just about ices up for about a good solid 3 months at least. Its cold here, was 3*F when I left for work. Its colder in more places of the country than here. You Southerners get a taste of this and your calling out the National Guard and closing schools. Its kinda humorous to us up here. ;D : ;D Quote
Uncle Leo Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 23 degrees? Perfect Ice Fishing weather, would not even need the shanty. Quote
Pitchinkid Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Woke up to a blistering 1 degree this morning. The truck did read 4 degrees before i got to work this morning at 7. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted January 11, 2010 Author Super User Posted January 11, 2010 Heck a guy yesterday on another forum posted a picture of the cove behind his house with it almost frozen over. Where was it? Lake Conroe, 30 miles north of Houston. If this keeps up I'm going to have to really step up the weight on my jigs. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted January 11, 2010 Super User Posted January 11, 2010 You southern boys didn't think all those "It's 65 and sunny here" comments would come back to get ya after we complained about the cold in the past ? ;D The end is near, most of the country is due for more 'normal weather' the last half of January. So says Glenn "Hurricane" Shwartz, our local NBC weather guru : Quote
Rebel Angler Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 I hear ya man. I'm so ready for spring to roll around! Quote
swilly78 Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 23 degrees? Perfect Ice Fishing weather, would not even need the shanty. LOL, x2. Heck Im really looking forward to 30*F. I can just wear a hoodie, no jacket necessary! LMAO! Quote

Super User fourbizz Posted January 12, 2010 Super User Posted January 12, 2010 I hear you guys, its so bad here that I have to wear a fleece until about 9 before I can work in just my t-shirt. This freezing weather is the pits ;D Quote
Pond Hopper Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 After 2 weeks in the negatives, I was wearing shorts after work today with a high of 23 degrees. : Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 12, 2010 Super User Posted January 12, 2010 We haven't seen the north side of freezing since noon on the first. Quote
bass or bass ? Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 It was 72 here today. Was going fishing next weekend, but now staying home to watch the Cardinals move on to the Championship Game! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 12, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 12, 2010 Highs in the mid 50's, lows in the mid-40's in my area. That's about 10 degrees above normal. Quote
SkilletSizeBass. Posted January 12, 2010 Posted January 12, 2010 > I give up about 5mnts. a year of no fishing, unless we go out of state. which gets expensive and is a gamble on the weather/cold fronts. On the bright side, I spend more time on line buying new lures ;D Quote
