bmadd Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 To the fans everywhere that hate on the SEC, I invite you to attend a game, any game. Show up 3-4 hours early and then you will understand. Or do like some do, show up on the Tuesday before and then you will really understand. ROLL TIDE!!! 38-13 All fans do that. TX Tech fans are sleeping in tents in the parking lot a full week before the game.........and that doesn't make them any 'better' as fans ; (as can be seen on many youtube clips) Numbers is where its at for a great day of football. Anyone that's been to Kyle Field and watched 50,000 plus (one half of the stadium) yell in unison at the other 50,000 plus that yell back. That's cool. Even Horn fans give the Ags credit for having a better 'environment' for football. (and i'm sure there is an SEC stadium that holds 90k; just sayin' its the same all over...........the south... ;D ;D ;D ;D ) b Try being surrounded by 106 k fans in orange and white singing Rocky Top Quote
Super User Root beer Posted January 7, 2010 Super User Posted January 7, 2010 Here a nice article for pregame. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls09/news/story?id=4801782 I don't like sport writers claiming Alabama going dominate Texas. It gives Texas more motivation they do not need. ;D Quote

brushhoggin Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 The SEC invented football. Doesn't get more touted than that. 8-) b The numbers speak for themselves. http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2009/12/30/in-title-game-sec-is-money/#cntnt and where is this clay travis from? Quote

I did quick google, it going add 10,000 new seats plus skybox. Only stadiums I can think off off top of my head in the 100,000 range is Penn state, Tenn (Which I've been too twice), Michigan, and I think Ohio State.. So that make Alabama a top 5 right? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Fifteen minutes......It's time to rock! Quote

Super User 5bass Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Cant believe McCoy got hurt on the first drive. That was a hard hit he took, dead on the throwing shoulder. Quote
fathom Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Cant believe McCoy got hurt on the first drive. That was a hard hit he took, dead on the throwing shoulder. yea...otherwise, it's 14 to 7...texas. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Looks like Gilbert's hurt now. Better warm up the punter. Quote
bmadd Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I thought everything was bigger in Texas. Looks like the big hits are coming from Bama! Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Colt's injury is going to make for an inconclusive comparison. Now everyone is going to say "what if" and "yeah, but" and no one will know for sure what would have happened. Great.... Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 I thought everything was bigger in Texas. Looks like the big hits are coming from Bama! Tell that to Greg McElroy. He's taken a few hard shots already. Quote
fathom Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 14-6 bama...feel better now. would feel a lot better if mccoy were on the field, tho. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Yeah, I'd rather see McCoy on the field. I dont really care who wins, I was just hoping for a tight game. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 Yeah, I'd rather see McCoy on the field. I dont really care who wins, I was just hoping for a tight game. Same here, even though this goes well for my bets, I was hoping for a good game with all of the hype and no excuses after the game. Quote
bmadd Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 I'll give Texas D that they've shut down McElroy and the pass game BUT the run game has been there just about every time. I wish Colt would've stayed in the game as well. It looked like Texas had less jitters until Colt went down. It may get ugly now. Quote

Super User Sam Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 When McCoy went down, I said Bama 34-6. Time will tell. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted January 8, 2010 Super User Posted January 8, 2010 Dear Texas Fans, Colt McCoy's absence has nothing to do with all them missed tackles. Ingram, Richardson, Upchurch, we will run around you or through you, however you please. Enjoy the rest of the game. Hopefully Bama will continue to control the rest of game and ride it out to victory. Quote
