Tred Barta

Was watching Tred Barta on my DVR today and was shocked to find out he had a "spinal stroke," now he is paralyzed from the waist down, but the guy is a trooper and not letting his paralysis get the best of him.

Yea he had that about 4 or 5 months back while flying up to Alaska or Canada. He is a riot, definitely one of the wild men on T.V. It would be nice to hear he has recovered!

I dig Tred Barta. He can be a hard on sometimes, but its much more entertaining than another hunt on some private ranch underneath a feeder.

I think he is an idiot. He whines about how unethical hunting black bear on bait with a high powered rifle is. When he is hunting big game with a long bow, wooden arrow, and stone tips which most the time it would only wound the animal he is hunting.

I don't think he argued that it was unethical, just that it didn't seem like fair chase.  Anyway, if you have watched his shows for more than a couple of season you would understand that he only takes shots that are ethical and uses primitive arrow heads only when it is viable.
