Super User South FLA Posted December 22, 2009 Super User Posted December 22, 2009 Was watching Tred Barta on my DVR today and was shocked to find out he had a "spinal stroke," now he is paralyzed from the waist down, but the guy is a trooper and not letting his paralysis get the best of him. Quote
Shane Procell Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Yea he had that about 4 or 5 months back while flying up to Alaska or Canada. He is a riot, definitely one of the wild men on T.V. It would be nice to hear he has recovered! Quote
flyhatch Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 That dude went wild hog hunting with only a knife. thats hardcore...... Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted December 22, 2009 Super User Posted December 22, 2009 I dig Tred Barta. He can be a hard on sometimes, but its much more entertaining than another hunt on some private ranch underneath a feeder. Quote
zbigbadaaron Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 I think he is an idiot. He whines about how unethical hunting black bear on bait with a high powered rifle is. When he is hunting big game with a long bow, wooden arrow, and stone tips which most the time it would only wound the animal he is hunting. Quote
NorCalFishinguru Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 He's a hardass and id hate to fish or hunt with him but hes admirable nontheless. Quote

I don't think he argued that it was unethical, just that it didn't seem like fair chase. Anyway, if you have watched his shows for more than a couple of season you would understand that he only takes shots that are ethical and uses primitive arrow heads only when it is viable. Quote
