Super User Matt Fly Posted December 7, 2009 Super User Posted December 7, 2009 We have had 5 good Decembers and January's, oh, thats 5 Super Bowl Trophies!!!! How many Good Decembers and January's has Houston had? Nada, zilch, zero? and you laugh, he who laughs first laughs last!! ;D Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 7, 2009 Super User Posted December 7, 2009 Another idiot of an owner. All that money and don't know who to spend it on to get a play-off team built. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I thought it was Romo and December but he played a decent game. Maybe he left his calender at home. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 7, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 7, 2009 Actually Romo did play a decent game, but the rest of the team forgot to show up. Quote
Koop Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I think its funny all your Cowboy fans always resort to super bowl wins whenever anyone says anything Green Bay: NFL Championships: 1929, 1930, 1931, 1936, 1939, 1944, 1961, 1962, and 1965. Super Bowls: I (1967), II (1968), and XXXI (1996). I think that's 12... but I've never been great at math Quote

Super User 5bass Posted December 7, 2009 Super User Posted December 7, 2009 I'd really like to hammer on the Cowboys with everyone else but since they just pounded the Raiders on Thanksgiving Day, I think I'll just watch the implosion in silence. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 A championship is a championship, no matter what you call it. BTW, THE PACK beat Dallas on several occasions to reach those championships and Super Bowls. I'll give dallas one: the 1995 NFC Championship. Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 I thought it was Romo and December but he played a decent game. Maybe he left his calender at home. I wonder where Jessica is? Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 A championship is a championship, no matter what you call it. And HISTORY is HISTORY....... Football before the great depression.....really?? ...sheesh. ...... if it wasn't for 1996, ya'll wouldn't have had a thing to cheer about for almost 40 years!!!...........40 years!!!...........40 years!!! b ......and the one thing you had left to cheer about......IS A VIKING NOW! (MVP, BTW :P ) (my boys must still be pretty popular ...aka "America's Team" if haters even start threads about them) LOL If you get me in the X-mas exchange, send some of that crack you're smoking. ;D Quote
lightsout Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Unfortunetly we're not going anywhere until phillips is gone. It's a direct reflection of the coach when a team continues to shoot itself in the foot game after game possesion after possesion. There is absolutely no discapline or accountabilty on that team whatsoever. Flozell "the motel" Adams has done more stupid things at the worst possible time than anyone in the history of football. And NOTHING is done about it. Week after week Quote
Koop Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 A championship is a championship, no matter what you call it. And HISTORY is HISTORY....... If that's true then why do you boys fans always harp on the HISTORY of your 5 bowl rings? ;D Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 A championship is a championship, no matter what you call it. And HISTORY is HISTORY....... If that's true then why do you boys fans always harp on the HISTORY of your 5 bowl rings? ;D Why, rather obvious! Cowboy fans didn't start this thread to rub salt in Dallas December woes did they? It wasn't fans, so who was it? Maybe jealous haters? So, you ask why? You ask about our Decembers? Well, truth be told, turn it around. We have had 5 great January's as oppossed to your how many? I guess when you rub salt in others wounds, expect to get a little back. Now, how do you see this again? History is History and the only other fans that really have the right would be Pittsburg! They have more bling bling than the team I have pulled for my whole life. About Jerry Jones, I don't have to like him or his product!!!!!! I'm a fan, fan or Roger Staubach and Tom Landry days. Most of all, I'm a fan of football. Sure is along time between Feb and Sept. isn't there? Hookem Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 Who coined the phrase "Americas Team ?" I'll bet it was someone from Texas. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 b, does it matter, it was marketing tool that apparently worked back then. I'd give the vote to the Saints as America's team. They have no rivals or enemies per say, history of that franchise and Katrina have the "who dat" as the nations sentimental favorites. who dat! Quote
Uncle Leo Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Can we send Lovie back to Texas, , he is killing my beloved BEARS. Sorry had to join the fun. Quote
Koop Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 You guys are great, I like football but not enough to get wound up about it. You two ( and most football fans from Texas I've talked to) are exactly like my friend Rob. He was my room mate in the Marines for 5 years, huge cowboys fan (grew up in cedar hill). He used to get so ticked off when I'd watch a game with him and laugh when the ball hit TO in the numbers and fell or when I'd post cowboy failure pictures on his myspace. He was the most emotional football fan I've ever met. In all honesty I dont care about titles or history, I just love getting you Texans wound up Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted December 8, 2009 Author Super User Posted December 8, 2009 I started this thread and I actually like the Cowboys(At least I did). It's Jerry I dislike; attitude, ego, etc. Poor old Wade has nothing but a name to lean on. He's clueless, but it's not his fault. He never should have been put in the situation. Quote
lightsout Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Poor old Wade has nothing but a name to lean on. He's clueless , but it's not his fault. He never should have been put in the situation. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT. The look on his face says it all. Wades a great x's and o's guy, and seems to be a genuinely good person, but a head coach he's not. Quote
Koop Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I just love getting you Texans wound up gotta do something while you're stuck indoors for the next 6 months...... :P b (sorry, had to unwind....) Only 13 inches of snow projected for tonight! > Quote
Captain Obvious Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Nothing makes people hate you more then when you succeed. But as a Cowboy fan you get use to it. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 9, 2009 Super User Posted December 9, 2009 On the other-hand, everyone loves a winner! That's how Dallas became "America's Team". 8-) Quote
basser89 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 I started this thread and I actually like the Cowboys(At least I did). It's Jerry I dislike; attitude, ego, etc. I'm the same way, can't stand ole Jerry!!! Any goofball that gets rid of a legend (Mr Landry) the way he did and then while we're on top (again) cans Jimmy??? Just not playin with a full deck there! Been a Cowboys fan since back in the mid 70's or so. No bandwagon fan here. I've been through the good times and the bad. Our time WILL come around again! Quote
