preach4bass Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 The Colts and Saints both made it to the Super Bowl undefeated. Unlike New England a couple of years ago, we would already know that there would be a perfect team. It would be kind of like a few years ago when the first two black head coaches made it to the Super Bowl. We already knew a black coach would win the Super Bowl that year, so it kind of made that historic fact anticlimactic. But, it would be cool to see. Quote
Jake. Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 It would be anticlimactic, but a very fun game to watch. Go Chargers. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted December 14, 2009 Super User Posted December 14, 2009 I'm not sure it would be anything but climactic. ;D Two undefeated teams for the first time in the biggest game ever. I think it would will be drama of the highest order. On a side note, my Rams may be the saddest excuse for a football team in the league right now. The post-season will finally put us out of our misery. :-[ Quote
TommyBass Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I don't think you'll have to worry about it.... my colts already seem to have the mindset that they are going to rest their players and put the starters on month long vacation. All fattened up and lazy they probably won't even show up for the first play off game. It won't be the first (or even second) time they've thrown away a perfect season chance for the chance to rest their starters. The Saints seem like they are going to be greedy and go for it regardless it what it sounds like. Hopefully their good players stay intact. I don't mind the Saints making it there, I just don't want tears when Manning sends them back minus the Lombardi. Quote
TommyBass Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I may have to change my last comment. I just read an article that said Coach Caldwell is going to approach next week as any other game... implying the starters are going in. He did mention that any injuries would sit however. Who knows, he may suprise us and actually try. Quote
alwayslooking Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 IF it happens,,,,I want to see overtime,,,,be great to see if the new commericials could keep up,,,haha Quote
bass or bass ? Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 At this point, they are the 2 teams that deserve it most. Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 15, 2009 Super User Posted December 15, 2009 All this talk is really taking the spotlight off teams like the Vikings and Bengals who are having great years and could surprise everyone. Quote
