I'm a golf fan, and realize how much this will impact the money being brought into many tournaments while he is gone. People are out there to see Tiger (for the most part) when he is in the field.

He needs to take a year off, show his wife and kids that he truly does care about them (if he truly does).

However, this is a case where I hate the media. I really and truly don't want to come home, and turn on Sportscenter everyday and feel mad a Tiger. Quit getting in his face, and let him fill the hole that he has dug for himself.

Isn't it horrible that our hero's turn out to be human after all ?

Money and power have corrupted many good people and sorry to say he is no different. He's arrogance finally caught up with him.

My HERO wore a badge on his shirt for 28 yrs and beat my ars when I needed it and gave me unconditional love.. My HERO is my DAD!

Tiger is just an athlete who knows how to swing a club. That's it, nothing more.

I don't understand how the woman he slept with can so easily come forward. I mean come on ladies, nothing quite so lady like then coming out on national t.v to tell the world how much of a ***** you are. They knew he was married and chose to lay with him.

Tiger has kids of his own...He was a hero to somebody by your definition.

Also of relevance Is the fact that saint Tiger layed with those ladies so he's as much of a W**** as they ever thought of being, not to mention that the vows he took obviously meant little to nothing.

I have read many, many opinions about this on other outlets and the endless defense by some folks in this big world of this lying adulterer Is stunning to me and has made me wonder how the lines of decency have become so blurred.

For clarity: The last paragraph Is my own ramblings Bassn Blvd and as such weren't related to the quoted post above.

None taken.  I'm not defending Tiger at all.  I'm just trying to shed some light on the other side.  Tiger committed an unforgivable sin to his wife and kids but I look at it like this- Who the hell is Tiger and why do I care what he does.  Tiger doesn't influence me or my family by what he does in his time off the course.  He doesn't pay my bills or fold my laundry.  I think people put too much faith in athletes by thinking they are supposed to be "perfect."  Imo opinion, athletes are paid WAY TOO much money and therefore it seems we, the people who watch and don't play, rely on them to lead the way for us and our children.  When the athlete screws up then we act as those "we" were the ones cheated.  I wasn't cheated by Tiger. As an athlete, I like him.  As a husband/father, well, that's a different story.

Many of us would be SHOCKED if we knew the background or current activities some of our friends are secretly involved.

I guess I'm just the odd one out for having a different outlook.  When my kids say "I want to be like Tiger, Vick, or whomever"  I simply say.  No, you're not going to be like them. You're going to be your own person with your own morals and grow up to be an athlete who is better than them and kick there ARS."

BB I agree to an extent. I think you're absolutely right that his life doesn't affect our lives one bit. I'm looking at this from a more moralistic and public standpoint. The day he joined the tour he, his public relations people, and the media have propped him up to be a saint and almost dared anyone to question anything with regards to him.

My real problem Is the grotesque hypocrisy with which he has led his life on and off the golf course.

i think he's dumb for gettin married. if i had his status, i wouldnt marry anyone. i'd be kickin it like george clooney. take my precious time, "test drive" a few chicks before i made a life long decision. that way i'd have gotten it all out of my system so that by the time i was ready to settle down, it'd be easier to maintain what the public expected of me. 8-)

Burns in hell...   :-?

I bet you would all act a bit differently if your "bad judgements" (aka SIN) was posted all over the internet. But luckily, you don't have to BURN IN HELL, as one Moderator put it.

Isn't that AWESOME!

If we were all judged by the 10 Commandments, then we are all Dead in our Transgressions.

That's the GOOD NEWS...I am sure it will be deleted.

Tiger is no different than you or me---SIN is SIN.

I don't know who's post you are referring to but if it's mine then let me clarify. My fault for selecting the word "sin" but I wasn't using it to be meant in biblical terms. I can forgive my wife for just about anything except lying and cheating, so to me they are unforgivable "sins." I'm not judging Tiger either. Like I said, I could care less what he does off the course. I don't look up to him and it's none of my business who he beds with- married or not.

Seriously guys, this is NOT worth fighting over.  This is just another stupid celebrity tabloid story - meaningless to everyone but those who stand to make a buck off it (a.k.a. the media)

Let's move on...

I wasn't. It was a previous member comment that he has since edited, and so did I.

Thanks-
