Tiger Woods Quit Golf

Well, that's what some foreign newspaper is reporting he might do.  They claim that a "source close to the family" told them that his wife gave him an ultimatum, her or golf.  So, in an attempt to save his marriage, he might give up golf for a while.

Personally, I hope this is true.  I'd love to see the guy quit the game for a year or two, get his life on track, then come back and dominate the PGA again.  Everybody loves a good comeback story.

I will bet you a lot of money this doesn't happen.

Elin knew what she was getting into when she married Tiger (golf-wise - this has nothing to do with his infidelity), the then up-and-coming greatest golfer in history. He still wants, more than anything, to be the best golfer in history, beyond question. He needs to catch Jack's record before this is possible.

So far, most of the "rumors" appear to be true! Another girl just popped up bringing the count

to 12.

Just because a girl steps up doesn't mean it's true. There's a lot of incentive to say you're one of Tiger's mistresses. That's incentive to stretch the truth, and to hop on the bandwagon.

I'm not saying I don't believe a lot of it. I'm just saying take it all with a grain of salt. Everyone knows news outlets try to sensationalize everything.

Unfortunately, I've lost a LOT of respect for Tiger. He used to be one of my few idols. Sucks he's not the guy I thought he was. However, there's never an excuse to spread unverified rumors, or "rumours" as these Brits spell it.

I have dealt with Mr. Woods on numerous occasions and my take on him is exactly what people are now finding out. He is a jerk. Does not tip, and is rude and unaccomodating towards children.

What he does on the course is truly spectacular, but his personnel demeanor is an ***.

I have no sympathy for him.

What I do find ironic is that if anyone thinks that Tiger is the ONLY sports figure that does this they are CRAZY!!!!!! He just got caught

All these celebrity stories are starting to get really annoying. I turned on the TV first time in a few days and all I hear about is Tiger Woods. Are people really that surprised by all this or are they trying to milk it for all it's worth? Everyone has their issues and sins, but we just don't know it until it's exposed to the world.

I hope Tiger continues to play golf if he truly loves the game. He's going to lose a few sponsors, but I'm sure everything will turn out well for him. No one has a perfect life, just learn from your mistakes and move on.

Rivals Radio said yesterday that Tiger will not play for the first 6-months of 2010 as he repairs his marriage.

Also, his wife will accompany him on future tournaments.

He will be back.

He needs to do repair work on Oprah or Leno or Letterman or a network interview and say he is sorry and that he is going to do his best to be better in the future and that this is a great life lesson to learn and grow from......etc., etc., etc., BS, BS, BS............

The official announcement just came out, he is leaving the sport indefinately.  His yacht has been loaed up and they are headed to their new home on an island near Sweeden only reachable by boat.  What a shame, the PGA viewership is going to take a major nose dive.

Tiger is just an athlete who knows how to swing a club. That's it, nothing more.
