Boett43 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I dont know about anyone else but this is not how i saw this year playing out. Just wanted to hear what other skins fans think the future of our team is going to be. If you really think about it there is alot of positions that are going to have to be addressed in the off-season, its scary. Quote
Little Luey Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I am not a Redskin fan but you are right, the spectations were much higher that what the team is producing. For the amount of money they have invested in players you would spect to see a better product on the field. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 20, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 20, 2009 Zorn is an awesome QB coach, but he wanted to be head coach in Seattle. The 'Hawks knew he wasn't qualified for the job, so he went in search for team that would take a chance with him. Sorry he ended up with the Skins. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 20, 2009 Super User Posted October 20, 2009 Who are the Redskins? ;D They are really the "Dead Skins." Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Who are the Redskins? ;D They are really the "Dead Skins." Couldn't happen to a nicer owner. Quote
Boett43 Posted October 20, 2009 Author Posted October 20, 2009 Haha all sad but true. Dose an owner have to sell the team or is there like a way for them to be impeached i guess would be the word Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted October 20, 2009 Super User Posted October 20, 2009 Haha all sad but true. Dose an owner have to sell the team or is there like a way for them to be impeached i guess would be the word I think baseball forced Marge Schott out and the NFL got rid of Art Modell . Art was continuing to claim financial problems, even with a no cost stadium lease that brought in then an estimated 25 mil in parking and concession revenues. NFL asked him to sell and he did to his minority partner. Today, Modell still owns 1% of the team thats worth an estimated 600 million in todays market, so thats about 60 million. Not a bad 1% Quote

Not a bad 1% I'm no math whiz, but I believe 1% of of 600 million is $6 million. Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted October 21, 2009 Super User Posted October 21, 2009 I'm sure Art appreciates the raise. Quote
Boett43 Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 I think they should just let Cooley play QB for the rest of the year. Lol that would be awesome Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted October 21, 2009 Super User Posted October 21, 2009 You guys do have it bad. You were beaten by the Lions. What an embarassment. Falcon Quote
slomoe Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Sorry he ended up with the Skins. me too Quote
NewAngler Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 there is alot of positions that are going to have to be addressed in the off-season, its scary. There are always a lot of positions in need, and we NEVER address them in a timely manner. We do, however, address them years down the road. It sucks. It's embarrassing. We also lost to the Chiefs! Quote
Super User 5bass Posted October 22, 2009 Super User Posted October 22, 2009 If I heard correctly, next year is an uncapped year in the NFL. The owners will be able to spend whatever they want to get players. I dont think Dan Snyder will have much problem throwing a little money around. Heck, with the uncapped season, the Skins could be the early pick to win the Super Bowl next year, riding Snyder's wallet to the title. Quote

Not to mention a win over the Cowboys no less(?) Man not only is the team lame but so are their fans I guess!!!!!!1 ;D Do you call that a moral victory? Huh? I don't get your reply. For the record I'm not a Redskins fan just razzing them. I think beating the Cowboys for a Redskins fan is second only to the Superbowl. In a down year I'd think they'd be pumped having humiliated JJ and his "everything's bigger inTexas" sized scoreboard. Quote
Boett43 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 We didnt beat the Cowboys Lol. So im not dancing in the streets im drinking beer and waiting for next season haha Quote
