Super User Dan: Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 No mention of LSU's loss? None whatsoever? I can't let the LSU fans on the board get off that easy.... ;D Where's that picture of the LSU helmet being thrust into the air now? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 Ole Miss stuck it up where the sun never shines! 8-) Quote
Super User 5bass Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 Yeah, where's the LSU faithful for the weekly PR statement? I tell ya, that sure was a bad time for Miles to have a 'senior moment'. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 Catt? Oh, Caaaattt? I'm sure the answer from the LSU fans is that the Saints are undefeated.... ;D Quote

They were playing a sound clip from after the game of him saying he had no idea who told Jefferson to spike the ball as they played a video clip of him running down the sideline doing a spike-the-ball motion with his hand.... Yep, he tried to throw his QB under the bus. QB says he was confused and didnt know what to do. There was 2 huge mistakes in the last 20 seconds or so....they wasted 15+ seconds when they could have called a timeout, but didnt, then spiking the ball on the last play of the game. The spike on the game's final play gets the BONEHEAD PLAY OF THE YEAR award, easily. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted November 23, 2009 Super User Posted November 23, 2009 Les Miles luck has finally ran out. Quote
NewAngler Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Catt is avoiding this threa like the plague! Quote
brushhoggin Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 i/m right here, that game has my head in the sand. i wanna fire les miles for not getting his field goal team out there to win the game, awful. these teams always play a great game. too much hype for ole miss b4 the season which they havent lead up to i hope this hasnt given them the false sense of living up to that hype. besides, what does it matter, my saints are undefeated! ;D Quote
1inStripes Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Les Miles is a moron. Its been evident since the first LSU game he coached against Tennessee when he came out with the little headphone in Baton Rouge. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 24, 2009 Super User Posted November 24, 2009 LSU has been over rated all season. Crowton will not unleash the offense; offensive line is weak; George Jefferson seems to be confused; Ruben Randell has only run the ball; no trick plays so far this year; and playing the offense very tight for some unknown reason. Chivas has defense playing well, but too many blown assignments. Defensive line has trouble stopping the run putting too much pressure on linebackers. Miles is not gambling any this year. He and the coaching staff know something that we don't, such as Jefferson's lack of understanding of a complex offense or his lack of confidence in the passing game. Lots of dumb mistakes and penalties this late in the season shows a football team that is not concentrating. I think the Fighting Tigers will beat Arkansas and then go to a lower echelon bowl where they have a chance to be successful. Until Miles puts on his gambler cap; unleashes both Jefferson and Sheppard; throws the ball downfield; and stops thinking of Big 10 power run football LSU will end the season on a down note. But, with all that said, if the Fighting Tigers do win their next two games, they may end up in the Top 12 and be in the Top 10 preseason rankings next year. If Miles blows next year's season, then the Michigan job will look attractive as Rich-Rod will be out after next year. No, Catt and I are not hiding. We are just upset that Miles lost 17 critical seconds at the end of the game and that he did not send in a player to start a fight to stop the clock so he would have time to put the field goal unit on the field. Hey, its football and this is what makes it so exciting. Don't you just love it????? ;D ;D ;D Quote
fathom Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 as a side-track, how do you beat a ranked team and then get ranked above the team you beat? understand strength of schedule, scoring, blah, blah, blah but, to me, it shows the flaw in any ranking. you should be ranked in front of any team you beat until someone beats you. not tooting ole miss's horn...earlier this year, the trojans got ranked better than the team that beat them, as well. am just saying. Super User Sam Posted November 24, 2009 Super User Posted November 24, 2009 Polls are popularity contests. Some coaches vote their opponents high to improve their strength of schedule ratings. But polls are also fun to read and debate. Geaux Tigers! Quote
