MY BROTHER TOOK UP BOW HUNTING THIS PAST YEAR AND I WAS WAS THINKING OF GETTING HIM ONE OF THOSE BLOOD TRAILING FLASHLIGHTS YOU SEE AT BPS OR CABELAS FOR XMAS .TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE ONE, DO THEY WORK ? THANKS .

I'd invest in a good range finder instead. Knowing yardages should hopefully lower the need to follow a blood trail. Just my opinion. I have never used one of those lights myself. Nikon makes some good range finders...if too pricy, you could go in on it with a few family members. Good hunting and fishing.

PS- if he has just gotten started in Bowhunting, this (range finder)should last for as long as he hunts.

A bit off topic...I apologize.

I've got one of the lights for Christmas a couple of years ago and they work great.  I can't remember the brand name, but it's green and looks like a radar gun.

i just looked up the flashlight on cabela's website it had over 150 reviews. some guys would give it great reviews, some guys say don't waste your money it doesn't  work ,i  didn't expect such mixed reviews.
