BassFishingMachine Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Hey, I was fishing one of my jitterbugs today and I noticed if I tryed to retrieve it with a steady retrieve it would... how can I say this.. kind of "glide" to the side. This caused me to fish the bait with a pretty slow retrieve, other wise if I sped it up any it would do the "gliding" thing. Anyone know what the problem is, or any thoughts on how to fix it? Anyone else ever have this problem, or am I the only one? Quote
skillet Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I know you checked to see if the line was free. Unless you can see the lip "bent" or something like that, you sure got a new one on me :-/... As Ever, skillet Quote
WatermlnSuperfluke Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I have had a similar problem before. I worked with the lip of the bait and bent it back to the proper performance shape. Get some pliers and mess around with it and cast it and test it out. Both sides should be bent identically. It doesn't take much to set these things off. Quote
MGilbert3 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 also look at the eye. if the eyes ****-eyed or bent it can pull it to one side. Works good though if your trying to pull the lure under docks though. Quote
