fish-fighting-illini Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 I spelled it that way for a reason. There is a reason that AZ was in the Superbowl last year and we weren't. Same reason we won't be near it this year. I heard during the game that the Bears don't have a 1st or a second round pick for next year. It could be a long couple of years. We need help on the offensive & defensive lines big time. I seemed even in the middle of the game where Urlacher got hurt that it instantly showed how important that he was to the defense. That might not be accurate though just seems like it. Man it is ugly. Quote
aceman387 Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 can you imagine the score when we play Minnesota with out any defense or pass rush. now that fishing is nearing and end we always had the bears to look forward to help us thru winter ,its only November and I'm afraid this team is done. Quote

Super User K_Mac Posted November 9, 2009 Super User Posted November 9, 2009 I am a Rams fan so I can feel your pain. :-[ I have a tough time when it comes to the Cardinals. Bidwell still ranks very high on my list...> I am still a Kurt Warner fan though. Even if he is close to being able to draw Social Security, he can still play. When the Cardinals can run the ball they are impressive. I am not an avid football fan, but the Bears have always been a team that's not afraid to bust some heads on defense. 8-) What happened? Quote
Little Luey Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 The Bears are trying to be a team they are not, what ever happened to defence and running the ball? In years past iy they scored 21 points they had a good shot a winning the game, this year they need to score 50 to win. they can't stop anybody and can't run the ball at all, I would be surprised but I don't believe they had more than 10 running plays. The secondary has no real leader, too bad Mike Brown was hurt most of the time. Hurlacker is definatly important on the middle, offensive players had to account for him and would leave Briggs, Harris, Brown and company to get to the QB or make other plays. Getting a franchise QB was great but he will not be able to win many games by himself. I still think this will be a two year experiment with Cutler, but we need a true WR, when your #1 is a guy who has play the position only 2 years you are in trouble, hopefully some of the young guys will develop. They are still my team but it hurts to see them strugle like this. :-[ Quote
