Here's a big secret

I have 4 sons, 2 daughters, 2 son-n-laws, 2 daughter-n-laws, 3 grandsons (8-3-2), & 1 granddaughter (5).

It don't get no quieter ;)

4 daughters ages 7 to 19. Our house gets pretty loud.

2 things that helped:

1. Non-negotiable early bedtime for the little ones.

2. A finished basement.

Good luck and enjoy it while they're little. :)

Laugh how similar! you too are a glutton for punishment!

5 daughters here 27,23,22 & 2 x 10    1st grandchild - a boy ( YES finally ) is due in late Feb

The 10yr olds still go to bed at 8:30 on school nights. If no school once in a while they ask to go to bed early!   9:30 o 10 on weekends

The 27 is out of the house the 23 & 22 are getting close so are kind of in limbo.

Loud is easy to deal with.  Just wait till they are 16 and 13 like mine.  You will understand why wolves eat their young. ::)

LOL, the 18 year old is now in the Marines, and the 16 year old wants to be out with friends, things are quieting down.... ;D

I have a 12 year old and a 14 year old.  We're always yelling to each other.  "Come down to dinner!"  "Turn down the music!"  "If I hear that word come out of mouth again I'm gonna whoop your ...!"

We have a loud house.

Having been there and done that, I would remind you of Trace Atkins' song "You're Gonna Miss This."

All you guys have it easy,  imagine all your children being Cuban in a house with tile floors. Now that is LOUD!   ;D

I have two girls one is 11 and the other is 16. Just the two of them is not so bad but when you add to the mix all of their friends hanging out it can get loud very fast. Most of the time this accompanies loud music that I cannot stand.  ;D

I have a 3 year old girl and a 6 year old son. My wife watches a 6 year old boy and a 2 year old so with 4 kids here it gets a little crazy here. I just put hardwood floors in so they think they can ride bikes around the house when it's cold outside.

LOL. Got 4 girls of my own 2-7yrs. I will add #3 A fenced in yard with a swing set. Kick 'em out the back door and let them run themselves out.

Throw a large dog back there with them (we got a black lab), that will tire them out good too. The dog and the kids will sleep well when the bed time comes.
