Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 28, 2009 Super User Posted October 28, 2009 Big Apple vs. The City of Brotherly Love. Yanks in seven games , should be a good series. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted October 28, 2009 Super User Posted October 28, 2009 A ballpark filled with two of the nastiest groups of sports fans in the country. I'm waiting to read about fights breaking out in the upper decks. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted October 28, 2009 Super User Posted October 28, 2009 B-B I'm rooting for the Phillies because they are the NL representative, and they are playing the evil Yankees. I come from a long tradition of NL good/AL bad/Yankees very bad. : With that said if I were a betting man my money would be on the Yanks. Quote
preach4bass Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I think the Phillies will sweep the Yanks, and Cliff Lee will pitch 4 complete game shutouts, two of which will be no-hitters. ;D That guy can pitch. Quote

Im going with a big fat NO on that shut out, they pulled 1 run out tonight in the bottm of the 9th, but remember the Yanks are great late inning players. But thems there Phillies are tuff. oh well 0-1 fer us Yanks fans Quote
seyone Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I want the phillies to win so bad. I'm tired of hearing how the yanks are better because they have 26 rings. Last time I checked Babe Ruth wasn't on the line up card. Quote
6pointbuck2003 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Im from the Al and im rooting for the phillies because i dont like the Yankeys. I also really enjoyed seeing how many ex-indians were playing last night. Both starting pitchers, out field, in field, as well as a head coach. Arnt the indians a great farm team Quote

TheHammer84 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Pressure on Burnett, pressure off Martinez, advantage Phils (as long as Pedro can go at least 6) Quote
ArcticCat500 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Pressure on Burnett, pressure off Martinez, advantage Phils (as long as Pedro can go at least 6) we already know Pedro's afraid of them. but I'll giv the Phillies the edge for sure after takin the first in "The Zoo". Quote

VolFan Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 He's looking pretty good so far, especially for his advanced age... Quote
FishingBuds Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Maybe JayZ and Alicia Keys need to open up for the Yanks for now on 8-) And does Pedro Martinez ever smile ;D good game Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 30, 2009 Super User Posted October 30, 2009 Pedro was smiling when he walked off the mound..a loser. Quote
seyone Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 He didn't get shelled. This has been a very well pitched series. Quote
BassDeaton01 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I will say that I don't like either team but I have to give props to the pitching for both sides. That second home run that Pedro gave up looked like an impossible ball to hit but he jacked that sucker off the ground! Really good game last night. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 30, 2009 Super User Posted October 30, 2009 He didn't get shelled. This has been a very well pitched series. Yeah, but in 6 tries in Yankee Stadium, he is now 1-3. Nice record for the self proclaimed, most influential player ever to come into the stadium. At least he knows who his daddy is by now. Quote

Mendoza, Jeter, Pettite, and Posada are the only Yankees who have rings with them. Fact is in this millennium... Red Sox = 2 rings Yankees = 0 Rings Quote
