thanks guys i was wanting to add to my collection. This is the first yr ive really used crank baits and seam to have great luck with a 20 yr old rappala that my father handed down to me. Its gold and black 5inch and dives around 5 feet. Makes me smile when i land one one the same lure my father used yrs ago.  :D

For me this year it's the Red Eye Shad in Sexy Shad and X-calibur's XR-50 in Royal Shad.

Hey Falcon, how deep do those red eye shad swim?  I have never used a lipless crank bait before and was thinking about giving them a shot.  I typically fish in less than 8 feet of water sometimes less than 4.  Thanks bud

Probably the Paddletail Tube, I bought the berkley knock off and couldn't get a hit with them, bait is a little too big for the waters im fishing I think..

If you mean what my best producer was this year though.. the answer is definetly the jig.

Bass Pro's Beaver Bug in Roadkill Camo (actually came out late last year).  It's only a matter of time before others find out how deadly this dude is.  It is my 'fat ika'.

You've fished it once this whole year for about 5 cast and didn't catch a thing you joker. :D I would agree though its a good one but I've caught fish on them.  ;D Super spook is my favorite though cause its super fun to fish and catch alot of fish not as good as plastics but its a ton of fun.

Hey Bayou Bass,

You can fish any depth, you can count it down or fish just below the surface.

I fish 8' or less alot also. Last week I was counting down four feet and reeling and doing well. Today I was reeling in as soon as it hit the water and getting them. Another nice feature with the Redeye, is it wiggles as it's falling.

My tackle box is full of high priced lures but so far this season I have caught more bss on a 4" single tail grub on a 1/8 oz jig. Check out my post in the smallie forum under Presque Isle Bay, I caught most on the grub.
