Ive never bought a LC lure before but i have been really tempted to from hearing all the great things about them. I want to buy just one to start out with. If there was only one LC lure you could own what would it be? Color and size too please.

Thanks

Either the Sammy 128 (Aurora Black which is actually blue/chrome) or

Pointer 100 (Baby Bass or American Shad)

Easy....Pointer 78. You choose the color based on the conditions you're faced with and the lake you're fishing. Just don't get overly tight drawed about this color thingy.

If you fish mostly clear water I would go with a Sammy 100 or Pointer 78 in Ghost Minnow. If the water is stained or muddy I would go with a Gunfish 95 or RC 1.5.

Take your pick most all of them are great but here are my 3 favorites in order

1. Flat mini MR in Chartreuse Shad

2. Sammy 128 Aurora Black

3. Pointer 100 in American Shad

The Pointer 78 is what started the Lucky Craft craze.  The Sammy is probably the second most popular.  As far as a sheer numbers bait; Raul is right on with the Moonsault.  The Moonsault is a crankbait with action and noise like a rattletrap.  It has a super tight wiggle, and 5 different rattle chambers with glass and steel beads.  The cb100 is my pic...

Are you kidding? These lures are like Lays potato chips, " You can't buy just one." Pucker up and kiss the Baitmonkey. lol

How deep does the Moonsault dive?

(CB-50) runs 1.5 feet,

(CB-100) runs 3 feet,

(CB-200) runs 6 feet,

(CB-250) runs 9 feet,

(CB-350) runs 12 feet,

Thanks. Headin out to BPS to check some out tomorrow.

The cb50 isn't available unless you order it from overseas.  Bass Pro stocks the Moonsault, but don't be shocked when you only see like 4 colors...that's all they make!  For some reason, Lucky Craft only makes the Moonsault in Chartreuse Shad, Ghost Minnow, Ayu, and American Shad.  Bass Pro doesn't carry the Ayu anymore, so that only gives you three choices...albeit good ones (those are arguably the best colors around).  If you fish a lot of ponds and are fishing from the bank; the cb100 is the clear choice.  I've had some awesome days at several different ponds with this bait...and it is a killer shallow crank at your local lake as well (it dominates the rip-rap).  Crank it fast and don't let the fish have time to decide whether they want to eat it or not...and they usually do.

I'll tell you what I would NOT buy...The lucky craft Live Pointer.  I've caught a total of 1 bass on it...and it looks awesome in the water.

I have the same luck with Xraps, and they are a whole lot cheaper.
