Super User J Francho Posted October 12, 2009 Super User Posted October 12, 2009 OK, I was able to watch my usual 150+ Yankees games this year, and I really don't see what all the hoopla is about. They were SUPPOSED to sweep the Twinkies. Now, I really didn't think the Sox would be swept, especially after putting Martinaez in to slow the halos running game down, but it still surprising how the Angels dispatched a good team that split with us this year. As usual, the AL East is the dominant division in all of baseball. had we been out, and the Sox in, I'd be rooting for the Sox. I'm a dier hard Yankees fan, and the competitiveness of the AL East is what makes these teams so good. Too bad for the Sox, I would have much rather seen an all AL East ALCS, but its not to be. We take the Halos in 5, go on to see the Phillies. Quote

But y'all havta admit, A-Rods never played this well, and if he keeps it rolling your looking at 2 run homers all day long, you know Tex isa solid player and can drop a bomb or a base hit, and with him ahead A-Rod, well then we know the outcome. Last year 2008 ya know when the Yankees failed to make the playoffs and almost finished 4th in the AL East. If the Yankees do choke and dont win the WS this year, I think it will be almost as bad as 2004's choke. I mean they went out and spent just about $500,000,000.00 in a span of 10 days. Then they had to turn around and have a bake sale for people to buy their box seats. As for the Angels, well done. I didnt see a sweep upcoming for the Sox. I thought it was going to be a tough series. I thought that the Sox would pull it out in 4 or 5 games. Anyway Good Luck Angels. Its ok cause since I have been a user/addict of the Sox losses havent bothered me that much. I think. Quote

Ive seen more WS wins as Yanks fan in my time, it takes 2 teams combined in over 35 years to beat that. So screw the Sux and thier 2 friggen wins in the 89 years. Quote
