frogtog Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Headed to Duke this morning for my first visit. Hope to come back with nothing but good news. I just got in from Duke and man what a hospital it is.Talk about country coming to town. First my new doctor doesn't agree with my diagnosis of having UIP. So he wants to dig a lot deeper, which is fine with me.He did let me know that I wasn't a candidate for a Lung transplant, said my body mast was to much ( In other words I'm to Fat) ;D Well at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. For some reason I'm happy as heck tonight. I have to go back in a few weeks and will keep you up to date. Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted October 13, 2009 Super User Posted October 13, 2009 I'm sure the women need to run and hide. The place will never be the same. Oh well, at your(Our) age it makes no difference. Get yourself a front row seat at the basketball games and wear your Bass Resource shirt. Or go without one and paint it on your chest(Or Forehead). On second thought keep your shirt on, otherwise you'll have to shave all that grey chest hair. Seriously I hope everything works out great. The ball games can wait. Prayers and the best of luck. Good luck! Jack Quote
Super User Dan: Posted October 14, 2009 Super User Posted October 14, 2009 just be careful, Duke was ranked as one of the douchiest universities in America. seriously though, that is a great hospital and I'm sure you are in the hands of the best doctors. Quote

preach4bass Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 WoooHooo!!! Man, I hope the Dr. is right and you don't have UIP. As for the weight, you better stop eating all that barbque and get in shape just in case you need a new set of windbags. My wife says I talk so much you can have one of mine. ;D Glad to hear the good report. Quote
