tritz18 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Just wait for the playoffs, we will see who is laughing then. Quote
senko_77 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 You can take all the W's you want in the regular season. Remember, we started 8-0 against you this season. The Yanks have been on fire.....but everything changes in the offseason. The Chokees haven't been doing to good in the postseason in recent years. We'll have to see if the big checks they wrote to acquire more all-star players make any difference. Cya in the ALCS Quote

adclem Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Love this good old fun rivalry. I have seen so many Yankee fans and Red Sox fans basically come to blows over this and they have never even played for either team. Nice to have people to joke back and forth with. Later, Quote

Later, X2 I am a yankee fan. No bandwagon jumper. Don Mattingly was my hero. He was money! They stunk back then....I just grew to love the yankees from watching Mattingly all the time. Anyway I have a picture that I wish I could post here. The picture was taken from just outside Fenway and is called Autumn in Boston. A Yankee fan made a banner out of a sheet that said Go Yankees and hung it out his apartment window. The Red Sox fan made his own banner with a arrow pointing over to the Yankee one and hung it out his window. We will just say that the Red Sox banner was not so nice LOL ;D Quote
adclem Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Would love too see that pic.lol Later, Quote

Cya in the ALCS we all know the Yanks wont win a W Series with A-Rod...he's a friggen curse ;D as long as they walk the walk on the Sox it's all good by me. Like I've said, I've seen more WS wins then most Quote

Major questions arise for both teams. Which Josh Beckett we Red Sox fans going to get? The one that was a beast at the beginning of the season, or the one that seems depleted the last month. Will the knee of Lester be all healed and ready for Oct? DiceK seems solid as well as Buckholtz will that remain the norm? As for the Yankees its again starting pitching. After CC and Petite who else will step up. What are they going to get out of Jaba in the Playoffs, he hasnt been good his last 8 out of 9 starts. A.J. is in uncharted grounds in the playoffs, what can you expect out of him? Looks like a fun October of Baseball ahead! :D Quote
adclem Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Good points, especially on Beckett. We also really need Ortiz to keep picking it up. We also can't afford the rest of the line to slump at all either. Later, Quote
