We just got our first Sonic in southern New England a couple weeks ago.

I don't know where or when an Arby's will be around.

Sonic is good,

but there is something seriously wayyy too addicting about Arby's IMO.....

especially since ( as of lately ) on the back of every receipt there is a survey which gives you a free regular roast beef or beef n cheddar....

so its always a lg roast beef, fries, and a reg roast beef....

and the receipt for that has yet another survey.... its never ending with the free sandwiches...

(the beef n cheddar is OK, but i feel the cheese sauce just fouls up my crappy fast food roast beef sandwich too much.... ill just keep it simple)....

....and the whole roast burger concept is yet another way to entice the fast food connoisseur into one more delicious, yet horrible eating option that is all just way too irresistible...

d**n that Arby's, and their tasty food!!!!!!

ugh! seriously? Every roast beef sandwich that I've had from Arby's has had a consistency close to bologna. I just don't like it.

Although the curly fries are admittedly dynamite, as is the chicken salad believe it or not.

Arby's has gone down hill IMHO.  It used to be my favorite, and I still have much love for it... but every time I go there I am soooo disappointed in where it has gone.  I no longer feel the urge to go there everytime I pass it.  It's become a once every 4 months type of fast food.

Plus they are on the expensive side of fast food.  Right up there with Carls as far as their meal prices.  What happened to the good old days of getting a burger fries and a drink for less than 5 bucks lol

x2 and their portions per cost ratio is wayyyy down. Not like it used to be but then again I guess they are all like that nowadays.I hardly ever stop there. If I am going to spend that kind of money I will get some real food.I still love their large roast beef smothered in horsey sauce and tabassco sauce though.

-Tell me about it.Me and the lady went to BK the other day and got 2 triple whopper combos with and extra BK joe and the grand total came up almost 18.00!!?? :o

yep honestly fast food prices are absurd.  $8 for a meal? I could spend another 3 and go eat at apple bees or something.

Yeah I've never cared for arbys except for their fries. Maybe I'm just not ordering the right thing. But sonic has to be the worst fastfood place ever.

arby's plummited on my list of best fast-food restaurants (was in slot number one) when they did away with their regular fries. i don't know if this was a nation-wide thing or not, but our local arby's only offers curly frieds now. YUCK! and you guys are right they are expensive. Wendy's now holds #1 on my list.

dont know myself if the quality (does that even count for fast food??...i mean c'mon, i eat taco bell ;)) has dropped for Arby's lately, as i never ate it in the past....

so all i know about it, is what i have eaten of it in the last year....

i still dig the place...too much i might add.

dsaaverdra...

they dont offer the reg. fries here either... just the curly...

its ok with me though, as i enjoy the curly ones!

The one thing I do like quite a bit there is the turkey bacon ranch sandwhich.  The ruben is pretty d**n good too.

Exactly.

If i want a hamburger i go to Red Robin's.What's another $3 for a hamburger meal specially one that will get me full and stay full.

Lucky we have a bunch of good Coney Islands restaurants to go and choose from.

I stopped eating at Arbys once they did away with their chicken tenders. The curly fries on the other hand would be the only reason I'd go there.

there was an arbys in the same shopping mall as where i worked. i almost always got the 5 for $5 arbys melts when they had it. that was the only thing i got form them. it was good though.

Yeah but you can easily make those deli style sandwiches at your house for a fraction of the price.

I live off Arbys.  Every trip I take I start with a pitstop there.  I could eat it everyday for every meal.  My favorite is one reg. roast beef and a beef n cheddar with large curly fry and a large coke.  Ugh.  I think I'm going to go get some right now....

I love the french dips and beef n cheddars.  The curly fries dipped in cheddar is the way to go.

Man, after reading this its going to have to be a Arby's lunch today.

Red Robin awesome burgers and they are huge! Also the best onion rings. We have no Chili's here yet thier commercials are on all the time making everyone hungry.

When we had Rally's in Roanoke......the Big Buford was the best burger I have had.

I heard of their menu and they don't seem like they have much. We have one about to open up in the promenade that was just built. How's their food?

Arby's is weak now. The roast beef is still killer but you dont get near what you used to get on one of the sandwiches. A regular roast beef 5 years ago had roast beef hanging off the sides. Now you get the 5 regulars for $5.95, take all the roast beef from each one and stack it all on one bun and it equals about one large roast beef and even the large isnt what it used to be. Arby's has earned rip-off status in my book.

Quality is there, quantity is not. Overpriced too.
