BassinSoldier Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 I have never in my life heard a male with a voice naturally this high. Simply amazing! The Mars Volta with possibly my new favorite song : Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 that is one bizarre video. His voice reminds me of Freddie Mercury. Quote
Stasher1 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Eh. Not really doing it for me. :-/ Quote
BassinSoldier Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Yeah that video is pretty far out there. I hear the Mercury there now that u mention it! Quote
ArcticCat500 Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 that is one bizarre video. His voice reminds me of Freddie Mercury. I'll say this, I clicked the link before reading any posts. The first line hit me with a Queen flashback. Say what they, but Freddy was an incredible performer. I'll look into more of this band. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 I think Freddie Mercury was one of the best singers in the past 3 decades. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 cant stand them but I do agree that he has a high voice.... you know whose voice doesn't match them...Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 18, 2009 Super User Posted September 18, 2009 That particular song is really not typical TMV....take a listen to some other tracks, like Sarcophogi. Keep in mind, many of their songs are epic, and run over into other tracks, representing larger "pieces." Also, take a look at At the Drive In, which is the origin of TMV and Sparta. Quote
BassinSoldier Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 after a little more research I have found that, to me, the rest of their stuff sucks pretty bad...Still love THIS one song though. Quote

BassinSoldier Posted September 18, 2009 Author Posted September 18, 2009 Freddy was talented, yes, definitely. I also feel that Cedric from this band is quite talented as well, but the majority of their music ain't my cup of tea...and I have a pretty d**n ecclectic taste in music. Quote
