swilly78 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Oh, they break my heart every season, why do I ever expect differently.? Quote
Koop Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 They really didn't do bad... except Cutler... Both teams were terrible on offense. Quote
swilly78 Posted September 14, 2009 Author Posted September 14, 2009 Yeah, it was a general crap-fest on both sides. I actually blame our recievers more than Cutler, they kept effin up their routs. Its funny though, first half Cutler was a totally different quarterback than second half Cutler. BTW, helluva last drive for Rogers, Congrats. Quote
Mattlures Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Dont listen to Chris collinsworth. It was not the recievers. It was all Cutler. I am sure you saw where he threw 3 interseptions in a row only to have the packers catch just the 3rd one. Cutler was good in denver not great. He had great recievers and a great coach. As much as I hate Shanahan he was good. Cutler cried and whined over anything. I realy hope Orton turns out to be better then Cutler so all the critics can eat their words. I am sorry your Bears got him. I used to like the Bears. But I was routing for the packers this time. I kinda wish he was still in Denver so Rivers could beat him over and over and over! Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted September 14, 2009 Super User Posted September 14, 2009 Misery loves company. You think you have it bad? I became a Giants fan during the glory years of Frank Gifford, Pat Summerall, etc, in the late 50s early 60s. I remember Y A Tittle standing bewildered, bloodied and battered in their loss to the Bears in the championship game. Then they went into a funk of being terrible until they regained form in the 80s. I suffered through Joe Piscarceks (sp?) fumble in the Meadowlands. They were in the playoffs, when instead of taking a knee, he tried to hand off, and fumbled the ball which was run in for a touchdown by an Eagle player, knocking them out of the playoffs. It was probably a mercy killing since they would have gone nowhere in th post season. I can identify, and, I feel your pain. Quote
Pitchinkid Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 its just 1 game guys. Cutler always due for 1 or 2 bad games a year. Lets just hope he got it out of his system. Good news is, we played frickin terrible and we still had a chance to win. Defense looked stellar except for vasher. How is Urlachers wrist? I havent heard anything else on it. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Brians wrist is dislocated and will need surgery. This was a typical Bears game. I guess we had too high of hopes seeing how we now have a QB which can win us some games. Next week against the Steelers at home will tell all. > Quote

Its funny though, first half Cutler was a totally different quarterback than second half Cutler. BTW, helluva last drive for Rogers, Congrats. It was definitely all Cutler... 7 interception throws in which 4 of them were caught. I wouldn't say Rogers had a good drive... Jennings is a hell of a WR, the corner just made a mistake that was capitalized on, I'd give more credit to Jennings on that one. Then my main man Al Harris sealed the deal. What do all of you non Packer fans think of Harris? He is one of my favorite players, but I can see people hating him for his play style and arrogance. No doubt though he is one of the best corners in the NFL. Quote

aceman387 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 i know its only one game, but alot of us long time bears fan were hoping for a savior in cutler, different quarterback same results , i was hoping for a spark on offense instead we got more of the same .inept play calling.( how many times should you run forte up the middle with no results, can you please try something else before you put us to sleep. ) the more things change the more they look the same. I think Cutler will straighten out over time, just a bad nervous first game against a big rival. Quote
Koop Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Brian out for the season? Ouch... there is a hole in the defense to be trampled on. Quote

Mattlures Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Hey Catt you have a good coach and an incredible quarterback. Your teem is in the hunt. I know the saints have sucked for a long time but they are fun to watch and they can play with anybody. Just think of the teams that could use Brees! At 1 time my Chargers had Brees and Rivers! and for all you sports fans feelin sorry for yourselfs. San Diego has never one a championship ! Well except for when there was a soccer leauge :'( Quote
detroit1 Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Falcon is right...y'all got nothin' to whine about. Cubs fans..maybe, but the rest of you with your 20,30,40 yrs of nothing is like a day on the lake for me. Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Detriot....HAHAHAHA! ;D Good ol packers! Daggum cutler killed yall. I went to my friends house for the game. There were 15 of us and only two of us were packers fans. Lets jus say i let them all have it on all those interceptions, and jennings amazing catch at end! What a great game. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Youch we lost 2 starting linebackers in the first game of the season. One will be back but not Urlacher. Did anyone else happen to notice that the Packers moved at will right after Urlacher went down? It seemed like everyplay was right up the middle. There might have been some missed stuff but if it weren't for that gift interference call on the Packers it could have been ugly. We'll see what happens. P.S> Hats off to the Packers I thought they were in control the whole game. Forte did nothing, the receiver / Cutler fiasco you just outplayed us despite a close score. Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Thank you... It truely was a good game i thought. If cutler wasn't being such a panzy and came to play like he did in the 2nd half, yall might of won. Those interceptions didnt help yall. But i didnt mind them! Quote
