clipper Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 34 so I guess I am officially OLD. I feel like it anyway. I wish it would get warm. Quote
Super User Micro Posted January 17, 2009 Super User Posted January 17, 2009 I remember 15. I always liked the cola vending machines that had the little side glass door. You put in your coin, opened the door, grabbed the tip of the bottle and pulled it out. There's a restaurant in New Market, Virginia called the Southern Kitchen that still has the booth-side jukeboxes - originals. The wWax Coke bottle thing I only remember from my earliest childhood. My dad's Buick had the light dimmer switch on the floor. It also have fender extensions that parially covered the rear wheels. We had to pop them off the clean them. I saw my first dirty movie on laser disc. Quote
Under the Radar Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Guess I should visit this form more often, even though I now feel older than the rock that was eroded to make the dirt. Sheeesh 51 out of 56. And yeah I only know longhand math. A night crawler, a hook and bobber on cane pole in WA 1950. Didn't get much better than that. By '54 it wasmy first baitcaster and Steelhead on the Columbia, '57 was back to worms & cane poles in Cent FL. Same summer found me throwin worms & grasshoppers for Trout in MT. 63-71 was owned by the USAF. 71-92 found me working charter boats & private yachts from the Gulf of Mexico to Boston Mass to Argentina, Bahamas, Virgin Isles. The Panama canal is pretty cool if you ever get the chance. I remember when Cancun Mexico's tallest building was the Presidente Hotel and 4 stories and they were still carving the city out of the jungle. Now you can find me stalking the LMB of Cent FL when I'm not chasing Trout in the mountains. Ya know? The older I get, the better I was... Well, those are my credentials for Team Depends, do I get in? Quote
