MLT's Spicy food thread got me thinking last night when I was at Buffalo Wild Wings for the game, having a few 20oz brews during happy hour for $1 a peice and 60 cent boneless wing thursdays.

Curious what everyones threshhold is over there, I have now tried all of them except wild and blazin.  So far my favorite 3 are, Parm Galic (not hot at all) Asian Zing (great flavor) and Mango Habenero which is my favorite but destroys my mouth.  The flavor is good for about the first 10 seconds until you are put into some pain.  Was talking to the waitress last night who told me the mango habenero is actually hotter than wild and blazing, I suppose I will try those 2 next time I go and see for myself.

This has become one of my favorite places on Thursdays, cheap wings, great sauce good sports screens and good cheap tap beer.  (They have spotted cow on tap here!  One of my favorites! 1 buck for 20oz beer.)

I appreciate the Parmesan Garlic too.  Its tied with Honey Barbecue for my favorite.

The Blazing is ridiculous.  I can barely get through one.  I usually get one with my order just to spice things up.

Give me 12 of those wings, some cheddar wedges and a couple glasses of Guinness on tap and I am a happy dude.

I am extremely biased against those stores. As far as not being in Buffalo, their stuff is probably amongst the best, however, from growing up in Buffalo, there was a mom and pop I went to used a sauce called "*ss in the tub" (with the actual spellling) to which they added some extra stuff. It was absolutely unfathomable, and about what I would call my absolute upper limit.

Personally, I like them to have a kick but so much my tastebuds  die before I can get the flavor. So to Wild wings, I would say maybe their hot is about where I will draw the line most days unless I am in the mood for some real spice.

my usual there is the chicken sandwich with the blazin sauce.

and it never fails, they always bring me the sandwich with the sauce on the side.... rather than fully coating the chicken breast in the blazin sauce.

so lately when i have gone, i just let the server know to have the kitchen just "dip" the chicken right from the start.

....its got quite a nice punch to it as well, i might add!

I did that with the mango habenero sauce, was very good.  I love the mango taste mixed with the heat... dosn't lose any of the mango flavor either which is awesome.  I'm going to have to try a dish of the blazin next time I go, only 2 steps up from the mango hab... I find their line up to be somewhat off, some of the lower ones I found to actually be hotter than the ones higher on the scale

I put tabasco on everything. I have 10-12 bottles of other hot sauces that my wife complains about taking up too much room in the fridge. I will undoubtedly end up with a hole in my gut one day.

Asian Zing and Mango Habenero  my fav's for flavor. I did the Blazin challenge years ago. Blazin is hot but no where near as hot as Hooters 911. Not to mention death wish. Picked up some death wish wings to go once and had to ride home with the windows down cause it was making my wifes eyes water.

I never have understood the fascination of " got to have it crazy hot" phenomena.

Obviously there must be a market or so many placces wouldn't exist.

But that is just me

Then again I've had stomach issues since I drank some bad water when I was about 8 or 9 so not exactly my kind of thing to begin with.

Koopa, u gotta hit the mango with copious amounts of Bleu Cheese.  Cools em down just enough & adds to the flavor.

The Garlic Parm is good but my favorite is the Caribbean Jerk.

Later, :)

I thought I would like the Caribbean Jerk... maybe they made mine wrong.  It just tasted like very strong black pepper.
