Siebert Outdoors Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Living in Tennessee, you should come down to the roadtrip next May at Pickwick. Plenty of support there courtesy Long Mike: BTW, Burley will be there. You look just his type. Haa haa, I was on a float about a week ago we didnt even use the box. Just the inside. That was even more redneck. Sorry to hear it dude, I know exactly what your going through. Been going through that for about a month now. Quote

farmpond1 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 When a person is single, they can do whatever they please. It doesn't affect or hurt anyone else. But if/when they choose to partner with someone else, it isn't just about them alone anymore and they have to collaborate and compromise. Ok, having said the obligatory Dr. Phil bit, I'll go on to say that assuming you are willing to collaborate and compromise, a relationship shouldn't be that difficult. If it is, one of two things is happening: 1) the other person has control issues and has some work to do or, 2) You just really ought not be together anyway. If everything is work, than it's no good. Go fishing! Have fun! Enjoy the freedom that being single offers. Learn from the past but don't be hindered by it. My 2 cents. Quote
KevO Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 Well we're trying to work through this but for now we are not together and I'm fishing. Quote

This is probably one of the best posts I've seen in these types of topics. Very very truthful. Quote
Pond Hopper Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I would agree with farmpond. I moved from a larger city(smorgasboard) to BFE Iowa, and had some company to start while I lived here. But as that drifted, and I became single, in an area with limited resources I settled on a girl that was work from the start... bad idea. Once you find something that is easy, but worth working for, then you just know. Quote
