Hello all, first post here.

I'm looking into using jigs, I've never used them before so I figured it was time to start. Can anyone recommend some to me? Or a site to purchase them from?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. What would you recommend for the weight? On 14LB mono line.

1/4 and 3/8

5/16oz Eakins jig or check with some of the board members as they make their own.

I like 1/4 to 5/16 myself, maybe try something a little larger this year. Colors are combinations of black and black or blue, brown and orange or grn. pumkin. Also, WELCOME to the forums!!!

Save money and time.

Check out this website it's G-Man jigs that are very nice, effective and cheap, and he ships freakishly fast. No worries here.

I would buy Watermelon, Brown Purple. Whatever color else. If you fishing dark water buy black/blue. I love the PB&J and Watermelon.

G-Man has always hooked me up with his JIGs. They are quality. $ 2.25 for a wire tied jig that is very nice. I wouldn't even consider others. I heard evolution jigs were nice, but for 10 for two that's a little high for me.

Good luck and go heavy braid 20lb plus.

Some pretty good jig makers on the site here from what I have heard.

Another vote for Gman's Jigs.  Top notch qaulity and huge fish producers.  His jig has been critical for me in tournaments.  I wouldn't use any other.

Micro Munch Tackle (earthworm77)
