Clark Stewart Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Are there any other facebook junkies out there? I have a vision where we all could post our catches via facebook mobile as we catch them. I like to do this just for bragging rights but also in case I lose/kill my phone I've already got the memory on that interweb! Obviously I'm clark stewart on facebook Quote
Big Phish Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 i deleted my facebook once it hit me how ridiculous it really is. Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 3, 2009 Super User Posted August 3, 2009 i deleted my facebook once it hit me how ridiculous it really is. x2. But if I break up with the woman it will be back. :-X Quote
nateobot Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I really like Facebook. Most of my "friends" are relatives, so it lets us all keep in touch more often than we ever did before. Quote

Nice! I like facebook for keeping up with people easier - i'd rather read what folks have to say then listen to the 30 minutes of b.s. to get there! I really like using it to post pics of my fish and stuff - If it's something I want to print it's a lot faster than hooking up my cell phone to the computer or jerking out the memory card Quote
Little Luey Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I am in facebook Luey Ochoa is my name there. I don't consider myself a junky but I use it to stay in touch with family. I will look you up. Quote
srv1990 Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I've just gotten into Facebook within the last couple months and have enjoyed it... in fact it's allowed me to re-connect with some of the folks I used to bum around with in high school, and even stay in touch with some relatives that I hardly ever see. And since I'm multi-talented, I'm able to frequent not only Facebook but other sites... like this one 8-) Quote
Super User Micro Posted August 3, 2009 Super User Posted August 3, 2009 If I want to keep up with someone, I call them. Otherwise, they can bugger off. Quote
IDbasser Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I am on it quite frequently, mostly playing the games. I have been able to catch up with people I grew up with who I haven't seen since I graduated High School almost 20 years ago. I really enjoy Mafia Wars, and I just started playing Mobsters 2, which is way better than the original one. Anyone willing to join up mafias or mobs? Quote
Stasher1 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I leave those sites to teenagers and desperate people looking to "hook up". : I don't care where my high school classmates are doing now, and if I want to speak to my friends or family members I'll just take my phone out of my pocket and give them a call. Big Phish Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 If I want to keep up with someone, I call them. Otherwise, they can bugger off. thats exactly how i feel. facebook takes away so much from actual human contact. its a social networking site that actually ruins social interactions. Quote
Stagerlee Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I like mine to keep up whats going on at college. Quote
NewAngler Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Idea... I'm going to spend the time and set up a facebook group named "Bass resurce brag book" or something of the sort. Hey- it might catch, and it might fail. But it is indeed easier to to upload pictures online through your phone nowadays. Would anyone be interested? I'll do it tomorrow afternon at work. Quote
wagn Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I use it to keep in touch. I can post video's and pics for my relatives and friends to see. I post up music riffs for my music friends. I can also set up events to help schedule parties and stuff. I think it's a great tool if used effectively Quote

I think it's a great tool if used effectively x2, but I only use it to keep in touch with friends because I don't have everyones phone number and such. I do not use it for anything else other than that. It was fun when I first got my account though. I found a bunch of old friends I lost touch with. Quote
tritz18 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I'm in high school so everyone has a facebook, sometimes I find myself looking through albums with none of my friends in them. I don't know how I get there but I am. Its terrible haha, bassresource has help control my addiction. Quote
done Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 I got an account. I have fam and friends in the NE, SW, and SE so it is a good way to chat, post pics of the kiddies and such. I do chat with some old friends on there but not much. BR is actually the only online addiction I have to worry about. Quote

Super User Muddy Posted August 27, 2009 Super User Posted August 27, 2009 My daughter was able to send weekly pictures and videos to share with all of us while she studied in Fiorenze,Italia last semester. My old neighborhood has reunited and we meet 4 times a year as a result of using face book. My generation did not grow up with all of this I find it fascinating and it has helped rebuild strong REALTIME and REALLIFE friendships. I am no face book junkie, but appreciate what it has done for family and friends Quote
Super User Dan: Posted August 27, 2009 Super User Posted August 27, 2009 I have never seen so many Mafia Wars updates until I became FB friends with a few guys from this site...and they know who they are. Quote

That is why I had to unfriend so many there, I would open my page and 30 or 40 Mafia Wars updates would come up, I never played that game and never will, Quote

With all the features they've put into FB you'd think they'd make it easier to block certain announcements. Quote
