iPhone  *Yawn!*  That's old school.  I'm waiting until the myTouch phone comes out in a few days.  It has FREE apps!  8-)

Ok IPhone haters

I got both Fishing Calendar and After The Catch

They both have about the same stuff, seems like a great way to show off your fish, now I can have pictures with that fish story - hmm maybe not such a good idea.

Well it's just beer money, wait what am I saying

I'll let you guys know what think of them later

Bad Iphone

I apologize.  I didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Fishing Calendar

After The Catch

IFishJournal

Gone Fishing

Has anyone used any of them and if you have which one would you suggest

No, I have not tried these apps.  ;)

I use the iPhone app Navionics USA East marine maps when fishing the St. Johns and Indian/Bananna river areas.  With the built-in GPS and these maps on the iPhone plus a regular Humminbird depth finder I find I don't need an expensive Nav. unit.  Plus I can get up to the minute weather and free tide info too.  The iPhone is a great fishing tool. :)

No problem Glenn

It's funny how people that have IPhones love them and people that don't hate them.

I didn't really care much about the IPhone I just buy dumb stuff, but these fishing apps make it more fun and worth having

Thanks Branuss04

Your profile says your from Roseville, I'm in Rocklin

I been playing with both Fishing Calendar and After The Catch

They seem to do about the same thing Fishing Calendar has a calendar that gives the best time to fish that I like. After The Catch has a much better journal and reporting system but needs a little setup, but once your out fishing it's much easier to add new fish with less data entry.

I'm going to end up using both - Fishing Calendar to plan when the right time is to go (even though any time is good for me) and while fishing I'll be using After the Catch to log my fish.

Since these apps are so cheap - I'm going to go ahead and get IFishJournal and Gone Fishing and compare them all.

"Free" and "iphone" are two words that do not go together. LOL!!  ;D

The myTouch phone has over 6,000 free apps, and more are being introduced every day.  You kinda get that with open source .  ;)

Besides, the iphone is sooo 2 years ago.

Sorry if I offended, but the iphone just doesn't impress me.  Never did.  If you like it, knock yourself out.  It's just not for me.

The pretenders and copy cats don't impress me either.   ;D

Like I said people that have Iphones love them and people that don't hate them.

I've had a lot of smart phones - most of them were Win Mobile and there were all good. What I like about the IPhone is it's slim and fits in my pocket and it has a great screen for looking at photos and movies. Theres is a lot of free apps but free is just free and not really all that good. Some of the paid apps are good and make having a IPhone worth it. Just check out the fishing apps - photos, maps, gps and more.

Good stuff

I downloaded the navionics app during iCast, Awesome perfect for my little jon boat and its going to be a great tool for duck hunting.

I hated iPhones cause I didn't want to be a mainstreamer until I ran over my  $600 Nokia N97 with my lawnmower! Yet, I became a believer after my wife convinced me to give it a try.  I love my iPhone, from the apps, that I don't mind paying for, to the music for the ride, it rocks.

The interface is simply what all others American market cell phone companies aspire to be. Apple has a winner, to bad they have ATT as the provider!

Now for a really cool phone check this out:

I was not going to give the DeathStar anymore of my $$$. I needed a phone and they made me a offer I could not refuse. I have had the i phone for 3 months now and it is trully bad a$$! I have had some pretty cool equipment and this is the best. There is nothing you cannot do with this phone. I have tons of apps that all work nicely and I have not paid for one yet. I will buy the navionix (sp?) when it comes out.

I hate to feed the deathstar....IMO the i-phone is worth EVERY penny!

I did hate the Iphone until I got one.

It's so great now! Really, yes corny, hate me, I'm a PC guy, and this is my only Apple product, and that won't change.. I have my phone...uncapped.. so to speak.   It makes a world of difference.  Calendar that syncs with Outlook as well as Windows Mobile, just awesome!

Do any of these awesome sounding apps exist for my PC?

Sorry, but the apps mentioned here were mostly created for the i-phone. If they have been modified for PC I am unaware of it.
