Super User Tin Posted August 27, 2009 Super User Posted August 27, 2009 Gonna be windy on the east coast... http://www.weather.com/newscenter/topstories/danny.html?from=hp_news1 Quote
slider head Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Hopefully this will be the last one for the east coast. I will be @ Hatteras Island in 2 weeks for some fishing. They always like to hit when we are there. We have been trying to go later in the year. Less people....better fishing. 22 years of going to Hatteras and last years Hannah (I think) made the 12th named storm we went through while we were there. The house is built on stilts up off the ground. Nothing like being in the agitate cycle for 12 hours! One of my wife's funniest lines....last year Jim Cantore showed up a day or 2 before the storm. "OMG Jim Cantore's here....we have to get the he!! outta here.....we are doomed" Quote
Super User Sam Posted August 27, 2009 Super User Posted August 27, 2009 Hitting the Mattaponi on Saturday and plan to throw spinnerbaits, topwaters, Ribbits, Rage Tails and the dreaded trick worms. Was on the river last Sunday and the tidal high from the past storm passing by was something to see, even at low tide. Just as long as the lightning stays away and the wind stays calm, the rain is not a bother. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted August 27, 2009 Super User Posted August 27, 2009 Well, that's just great. I haven't fished at all in August between vacation with the family and being away for work. Screw it, I'm going this weekend no matter what. Quote
NewAngler Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 i'm guessing spinner baits and rain are compatiable? Quote
Jake. Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 The surf was awesome at Hatteras when Bill passed by last weekend. Quote
aarogb Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 The surf was awesome at Hatteras when Bill passed by last weekend. Really? I was at Topsail all last week and the surf wasn't that bad. Must have been to far south. Quote
bmadd Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 i'm guessing spinner baits and rain are compatiable? A general thought, not always true, Spinnerbaits in windy, overcast situations. Quote
