these pictures remind me of a story one of my customers was telling me .he was coming home from his vacation in Wisconsin and on the way home while towing his boat with his jeep he hit a deer ,messing up the front end of his jeep ,when he finally got home in the process of taking his boat off the jeep he got distracted and the boat and trailer came off and slid down his sloped driveway scratching the side of his corvette that was parked in the driveway and knocked down his mailbox and post before coming to a rest in the neighbors front yard . he told me man, my insurance agent is not gonna believe this phone call.

I don't have a picture of it, but an even worse sight is to look out your side view mirror and see your boat passing you on a hill - this happened to a buddy and me when we were in high school - long drive home that day.

Would make a great add for the use of safety chains.

You didn't see the Skeeter at Fork on the TFF did ya few months ago?

That boat was launched off the trailer, through the bed and into the back window of the cab, sheered the trolling motor off.

And yes, that boat was strapped down all the way and it didn't prevent it from leaving the trailer.

Rear transom straps u bolts on boat where ripped clean out.

I'll try to get pictures of that.

Would you guys say that the force of the boat moved the car over a few feet off center of the drive way?

Yet the car don't look damaged from impact.

I can't see the pic all that good, but it appears like the tounge is missing..?

Bout 20 yrs ago, I saw a dual hull sliding down the 110 frwy in downtown L.A...luckly there weren't any cars hit. Just the center chainlink fence.

I was pulling my boat, following my dad, pulling his boat.  He stopped quick, and I didn't react fast enough.  I ran into the back of his boat, throwing it off the trailor and skidding down the center of the highway.  My bass boat ended up in the bed of my truck, like a john boat.  In a split second I totaled two trucks and messed up two boats.

In a seperate incident, I ran into a tractor trailor on the Interstate coming home from a fishing trip.  We were in a traffic jam, so folks were just ideling by.  Several folks hung their heads out the window and yelled, "Are you catching anything."  So, I know how those folks looking back at Burley were feeling.  Burley, I promise you that they were hoping you would run into the fool in front of you who was taking a picture too. ;D

Dang it preach! You drive much?  ;D  Were the boats repairable?

The wreck Matt Fly is referring to was unbelievable....hopefully he can find the pics, I couldn't.

I don't drive ANY hauling a boat now a days.  I sold that thing.

Yes, the boats were repairable.  Expensive, but repairable.

BTW, the big wreck was right in your back yard 5bass.  We were turning down the road to launch at Claytor Lake.  We made the front page of the newspaper the next day. :-[
